> 3 dayI havent played a Pokemon title since Pokemon Yellow so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but this game is AWESOME so far. Literally everything I wanted Pokemon to look like when I was a kid. I never played Sapphire, so the whole game is new to me. It has so many familiar kinks from generation 1, but has improved in so many ways. For people that played X and Y, you know what to expect. My only gripes with the series is that its hard to Catch Them All when your inventory is stuck at 6. I understand they only want you to have 6 available pokemon when out in battle, and once you can Fly it becomes much easier, but Id like to a see an on-the-fly inventory storing system thats NOT worse than Borderlands 2 so I can actually collect more at a time when Im out and about. Also, no difficulty settings. I like to slow-pace myself through games, and I have to keep myself from over-leveling too many of my pokemon. Overall, 9.5/10.

> 3 dayIve been a longtime fan of the pokemon games. I was very eager for this remake and when I enjoyed it a lot I was a little let down by some factors involving this game. The customizable fashion option found in X and Y was missing. Theres not many new things in this remake to make it stand out and made more memorable. Battling against trainers, gym leaders and the villain teams is too easy, especially if the exp. share is turned on to distribute exp. points to the whole team to level them up faster. Those battles against the supposedly tough gym leaders and the villainous teams disappointed me. But on the plus side, the graphics is stunning, the atmosphere of this world is breathtaking You should see the sunken ship in there! One of the neatest things to admire in comparison to the original RSE games. I liked the 3D introduction of each gym leaders you encounter, you get to see more of their personality in 3D than you do the expressionless pixels of them in RSE. Theres just so many things I could go on about this game but I think Ill stop it right here. I would recommend this to pokemon fans but must warn that those who played the original RSE may face some disappointments with this remake, but that shouldnt stop it from being enjoyable. Happy gaming!

> 3 dayEverything you loved and cringed about from the original sapphire with some extra goodies and much better graphics! I mean - who couldnt wait to compete in contests again? (Maybe a good amount of us...) Or even have to choose whether you wanted to zoom around on the Mach bike or bounce around with the Acro. Ah, it was good to play the nostalgia game again, and how I had another hard time choosing my starter. The user interface is nearly identical to that of Pokemon X and Y, and has a very good feel, inside and out of battle for the newer generation of gamers. The story is a remake (obviously) but I believe it was much better the second time around. Overall, with the lovely addition of the EXP Share extremely early through the play-through, the game is made a great deal easier, for better or for worse. Personally I enjoyed being able to keep my party around the same level, but when your lowest leveled Pokemon out-levels a gym leaders highest without any extra grinding, the challenge is almost nonexistent until the Elite Four. Catching your legendary will be a pain (as it should!) without the use of the master ball. And getting there was a great experience. Loving the new forms. Bottom line: If you enjoy Pokemon, youll love this series. GameFreak did another wonderful job delivering another solid revamp of an older series for the new generations. Ill probably keep playing their games until they run out of ideas for new regions. [spoiler] For the old school players who spent hours and hours hunting down your Latios/Latias, never fear! For now through the gameplay youll receive Latias who willingly befriends your party! ... Still very mixed feelings still about this.

> 3 dayThis game takes a while to get interesting. It felt like a chore compared to Pokemon X until about a third or a half of the way through the game. Its more of a rehash of the original Sapphire than I had hoped, but once you get to a certain point, this game is great. Im a sucker for nostalgia, so the (mostly) same old adventure with new moves and game mechanics is a lot of fun.

> 3 dayMy first experience with Pokèmon was sapphire (in 2010) and I loved it. I logged over 180 hours. Alpha Sapphire has a good blend of new elements (mega evolve/ super training/ new cut scenes) while still holding true to its original source. To be fair, Im only up to Mosseped, but Ill review it so-far. Pros: * Faithful to Sapphires characters/ story. * Mega evolution. * New story/ character dialogue. * Its Sapphire & Pokèmon. * Kyogre OP Cons: * Type changes (ralts is fair & psychic, ect) * Length, probably more of an issue for vets. But it feels fairly short maybe 40-50 hours if you complete pokèdex along the way. Or 20 if you just beat the main story. UPDATE As predicted, I beat the delta episode in 35 hours. Not really speeding through, but, not doing optional things (contest/ pokedex) The main segment of the game is very familiar. I love sapphire, and it stayed true. The real selling point for me, was the Delta Episode (post game) which was a true conclusion to the Hoenn experience. id say this surpassed the original Sapphire & took over as my favorite game since Red. Any late comers or revisters to the wonderful world of Hoenn are in for a treat. Just bring a swimsuit. 10/10.

> 3 dayAs a person whos played since Gen 1 and has played every gen since then, I will right out say that I wasnt a fan of Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald when it first came out. Whether its the regions Pokemon, the bombastic music that starts to grate on the nerves after a while, or the fact that each and every route between towns is ridiculously empty and kinda lacking in fun content, I dont know. I just know that I didnt like the original games and if you didnt like them either, then no. This is not the game for you. It will feel like a chore to complete and I will say this now as a person who has stalled on the seventh gym not because its difficult, but because the game stopped being fun. That said, its a very faithful remake and people who were fans of the original will be thrilled with it. Its got everything you loved about Hoenn with X and Ys updated graphics/mechanics, which can give those people a huge nostalgia trip while they get to see their favorite Pokemon and gyms in living color. HOWEVER, a lot of the gameplay issues from R/S/E are still there. You dont have a Berry Farm and have to go around collecting berries from routes every day. You still have to go to Mauville to switch between the Acro and Mach bikes. And theres still a lot of water and around 7 HMs to lug around, making the need for one to maybe TWO HM slaves a necessity. Fortunately, you CAN fly to different routes and locations that arent cities or towns now, which is something that hasnt been possible in any game prior to this. As for the Safari Zone, pickings are slim if youve already filled up your PokeBank with everything you could ever need or want. The selection of Pokemon in the wild is narrow in general compared to the selection in X and Y, but if newcomers and veterans find this tedious, then the WonderTrade feature is accessible as soon as you help Wally catch his Ralts. SuperTraining and Pokemon Amie are also back, which can only be advantageous, but nothing has changed there either. Those who were hoping for new Amie mini-games may find themselves disappointed. The breeding center is still there, so shiny hunters and competitive battlers, you can still import all your X and Y Pokemon over and get back to work, but Id suggest breeding in X and Y before transferring them over just because the breeding center route isnt very comfortable for riding back and forth on your bike. You also dont have the circle in Lumiose City to do half the work for you, so keep this in mind. Mega Stone enthusiasts however, REJOICE. While a lot of stones are (presumably) in the post-game, you can still acquire many of the news ones during the main story and all the old stones from X and Y are in the game for you to find. Trading between ORAS and X/Y is possible as well, so your main concern should be beating the game in a way thats comfortable for YOU. However, you may find yourself missing some of the liberties that have come along post-Generation 3.
