05-06-2025I am a third generation user. It is amazing for skin irritations, cuts, etc. My children ages 17 and 19 have been using on their own for a number of years as well and cannot believe how great it works for their skin. Quite the smell but the outcome is definately worth it. Since my kids grew up with it they actually like the smell, even my daughter-strange but true.

> 3 daythis is the best product on the market! my great grandmother used this and my grandmother. My mom has used it for years. Having 7 children, this product is good for scraps, bruses, burns and just about anything but what is great about it if you have a slever in your skin, it will bring it up to the surface over night. wood/metal/glass it has a drawing agent that brings forien objects to the surface. we are on 6th generation using this product

> 3 dayThis is an awesome old fashion salve. It is analgesic for pain as well as antiseptic and antibacterial. It really speeds healing noticeably. I use it on strains, sprains and bruises as well as cuts and abrasions. It has just the right amount of drying action to avoid the gooey ness of some thinner antibiotic salves, and moisturizing, to keep the scrape from drying and cracking. It does have a slight oder which some might notice. I happen to find it somewhat pleasing. In any event the healing properties are well worth it! My first aid kit is never without porter salve!

> 3 dayOnly reason I rated 5 stars is because they didnt have more! We use this primarily for cross country and track...to help with healing blisters, etc. It was referred to us from a college coach that uses it for his athletes. It absolutely works, very strong smell, but worth it. My son used it throughout his HS running career, and will be using it into his collegiate career too! It also works well with insect bites, stings, burns, etc. (a little goes a long way)

> 3 dayMy grandparents used this on every boo boo I had a a kid...splinter?- no digging, just put on Porters and a bandaid and itll draw it out over night. Takes pain away almost immediately on open wounds. Our local pharmacy was the only place I could ever find this and when it closed a few months ago I took to the internet to find some. So glad I can now get it here.
