Teaching the kids to skate meant I get to relearn stuff too so helmets for all. The most important thing to learn early is falling as no matter a skateboarders skill level they fall. This is my favorite style of helmet as it protects the back of the head great, which is likely to get whacked when rolling out of a fall.

I received my Pro Tec Helmet a few minutes ago and I am very pleased. The exterior packaging was great and the helmet comes in a drawer like box which is nice because you can store it easily in a locker or at home. The helmet comes with extra decals, is pictured as above and had the original tags and manual. The fit was perfect. Originally I ordered a medium but it was a touch too snug. If you are not sure based on the sizing chart, I would err on the larger side. My head measures 22 and though the medium fit, it would have given me a headache after prolonged wear. The Large is just a little bigger and a very comfortable fit. The helmet also feels very light which is nice. strap is adjustable with a band to secure the slack. I would buy Pro Tec again. Shipping was also very prompt through Amazon fulfillment center. Thanks guys!

I did as most of the previous customers stated and bought one size bigger than I normally would. It fits perfectly. I feel as if this helmet will make my head feel protected when I ride my bike.

This is a skateboard helmet and maybe its approved it only for that use. But, for me, it gives the side protection missing from Petzl and similar climbing helmets. Its very light (12.5 oz.) and quite comfortable. The straps may not be as secure as Petzl and Black Diamond, and there is no visor, but I prefer this to my Bern (15.5 oz.) because it has foam that gives a bit more. Im probably not as safe as in a certified helmet, but I really like this one. For years I skated parks without helmets so Im certainly much safer now.

I love this helmet my only complaint is that is scratches very easily. I treat it like an egg and set it gently every time but somehow it attracts scratches. Maybe it looks cooler that way? Just letting you know.
