Easy to use, very accurate, clean holes

I am 75 years old and I was worried about having enough grip to punch the holes in my belt but it was so easy and worked like I hoped it would. I would recommend this to anyone.

Punch came with 4 anvils, so should last quite a while. This one is much sharper than others Ive had, so cut through belt material like a hot knife through butter. Great leather punch.

I was so excited to find this hole punch. I make 5 and 10 mil laminated planner covers and I needed a hole punch where I could actually see where I was cutting, for wire bound planner covers. This product had so many good reviews, claiming that it was better for the tougher craft jobs, and not necessarily good for, say, hole-punching through a couple of sheets of regular paper. I figured it would work great, all the little extras that came with it, the fact that it honestly is very sturdy and seems to be well made, I thought I was in luck. Wrong. As the pictures above show, I used two different sized of the punch to cut through 5 mil laminate. Using the kind of pressure you would normally use (no weenie puff pressure..), it cut roughly 3/4 of the circumference of the circle. I placed it over the hole and tried again, using a little bit of a twisting motion, same thing. I could, literally, flip it up like a lid of sorts. I tried a different hole size, same thing. I tried it on both the laminated plastic, along with a place where it had laminate and 110 lb. card stock. Same thing. It just wouldnt cut completely through, no matter if I REALLY put pressure on, if I twisted, pressure and twisting, etc. Im not sure why it is this way, it really does seem to be a sturdy, solid piece- but performance-wise, it just isnt working at all. Its too bad, because otherwise it really does seem to be a great product- but thats sort of like having a gorgeous car with no engine in it.

I bought this to make earrings. Its a little intimidating but very easy to use.

This works great. It produces a very clean, round hole. There is one trick one must learn with this tool. If your belt has oval holes, as mine does, you will need to measure carefully both the start and the end of the oval you want to punch. Then you will need to punch both ends of the oval first. The use the tool to clean out the center of the oval. This tool works very well for this, providing you are careful how you align it for this process. The only thing I wish you would have included with the tool is what one uses the copper portion of the disk for.
