QiMox Qty(2) Gas Charged Front Hood Lift Supports, Struts Arms Compatible with Acura MDX 2007 to 2013 PM1109

Bought these a month ago for my 10 year old MDX. They’re working great. Not sure how long they’ll last. But they were cheap enough and easy enough to replace. You’ll need a screw driver and some patience.

These replaced the OEM equipment on my 2009 MDX. Installation took less than 3 minutes per side and they work great!

No instructions, but whats that to a guy? Took a few minutes to figure out how to snap off the clips with a flat bladed screwdriver, but then new struts popped right on (wear non-slip gloves). Cheaper than dealer, prop hood/bonnet full open with a stick, just one can carry the weight but go for stability.

This is a simple DIY project. Slip a narrow screwdriver under the retaining clip on the end of the old support and pry it open. Remove the old support and snap the new one into place.

These were easy to install and seem high quality for the money. I have only had them in for a few weeks, but no problems so far.

Does what should. Easy install. The only gripe with this is the metal clips that extend outward for install are thin crappy metal. Do not extract them out too far. They can be reshaped if the get taken out too far and messed up. Otherwise an extremely strong strut.

Worked perfectly, easy and quick to install. Saved a ton of money too.

Easy to install and they seem to function properly. There are less expensive options, but several more expensive options also. I think these check all the boxes at the right price point. Good buy if you need them!

Pay Acura $180 to replace these, are you kidding me? These literally take less than five minutes to replace. You need something to prop your hood up and a flat head screwdriver. Honestly I don’t think most people would even need to look at instructions to figure out how are you connect to these. There is a little ball pivot joint that these clamp onto and it’s laughably easy to do yourself. For the love of all things good do not pay dealership to replace these for you!
