> 3 dayI read the reviews in the description very thoroughly to make sure this item fit in my car, and it definitely does not. I can’t even shut the hood.

Greater than one weekI bought a pair of these hood struts for my Acura MDX. These struts fit perfectly, were easy to replace and just one of them was strong enough to keep the hood open! Most importantly, a pair of these struts were about $22, Acura was charging about $40 for ONE strut, so in total, a savings of about $60 if you use these struts. It is worth your hard earned money to consider these struts if you need replacement struts for your MDX.

> 3 dayThese were easy to install and seem high quality for the money. I have only had them in for a few weeks, but no problems so far.

> 3 dayThe struts arrived in a plastic bag, with each strut further wrapped in its own individual clear bag. They arrived in perfect condition, no bends or cracks anywhere. There are no provided instructions, but after a quick look at the ones still fitted to my car, and these new ones, it was pretty obvious how to replace them. Using a flat blade screwdriver, I removed the clips at each end of the existing strut and then pulled it off the lugs. The new struct just snapped back down on the lugs the old strut had been connected to. No adjustment or anything needed. Repeated this with the other strut. The hood opens and closes properly, and the struts will hold it open. One thing to note - I jammed a piece of timber between the hood of the car and the ground - I knew when I removed the 1st strut, the remaining old strut would not be able to hold it open by itself. This proved to be the case, and the timber kept it open while I worked on it. Once the first new strut was in place, the timber was no longer needed, but I left it there for safety. I took off one star due to lack of any printed instructions.
