best 50 bucks I ever spent; paid for itself 1 hour after using

Like the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. Yes, there are many other products similar to this on Amazon for a better price, but after being so dissatisfied with products of questionable quality that were made overseas, I decided to go ahead buy this one based on the stellar reviews I read here. And I was not disappointed - this thing is built like a tank and seems like it will last a very long time! So nice to see products of such high quality being made here in the U.S.!

This is a great help for soldering up small circuit boards. The base is heavy and and magnets are strong. The flex arms dont stay exactly where you thought you put them - there is a little springback - and at first this was annoying. But after awhile I got comfortable with it & its very effective for me. Minor issues - one of the 4 alligator clips was jammed so it wouldnt rotate, and one of the rubber tubes over the alligator clip teeth broke apart after some use. It would be nice if the manufacturer could include a few inches of hose the purchase. I consider the tool money well spent, though.

Every so often theres a customer experience that reminds you what all companies COULD and SHOULD be. In the wake of all the KickStarter campaigns that promise big and deliver small, this small company gets it right. The build quality is top tier, the base is very heavy with thick powder coat protecting it and sticky rubber feet. The arms have enough holding power to even suspend weighted parts, but are easily malleable to get just the right position. They have strong neodymium magnets in the feet and plastic pads are included (but optional) to keep them from scratching the base. My item arrived with one of the short arms separated from its magnetic foot due to the epoxy not curing properly. After emailing <the founder of the company> on the included business card he replied the next morning apologizing for the inconvenience and sent me out replacement arms without my even asking. That email came Saturday and the arms came Monday, very impressed. All of this over a fault literally fixed with Super Glue! Truly excellent service from a company that makes a fantastic product. Take note, guys: this is how you get brand loyalty.
