Just received this today. This thing is solid. From the heavy metal base, to the bendable arms, this thing should serve its purpose for a long time. The magnets that attach the arms to the base are really strong; once connected, they wont be going anywhere. Im very impressed and pleased with this product, and look forward to building things with it.

Being able to move the arms around has come in handy. This stand is very solid and heavy. The arms and clips are quality. The clips will rotate in the arms if loosened, but stay secure when tightened. The magnetic bases on the arms hold securely in place. They come with rubber pads to prevent scratching but this has not been a problem (I took the pad off of one of the arms to test it. The pads do reduce the magnetic hold somewhat.) Very nice tool.

I am absolutely thrilled with this product. It makes soldering so much easier than trying to get a wire or terminal to stay stationary while trying to get a good solder joint. I am a tool and gadget guy and this in one of the best tools I’ve ever bought myself. 10 stars !

Dont waste your money on the little cheap helping hands that will drive you nuts, just get this thing and be done with it. The arms actually stay in place, the clips can be rotated and locked in place with the thumbnuts that are installed just below them, and the arms can be moved anywhere on the base. Killer.

Great steel plate, but the hands dont bend well, and dont stay bent in most cases. Totally useless, especially for the price.

Love this. Best helping hands I’ve used. Strong magnetic arms. The base is super heavy so it never moves.
