> 24 hourTook it to Italy and worked out great. Not too heavy and easy to open and close. Fit in my backpack and the color was a plus.

> 24 hourThis umbrella is well made and very pretty. Unfortunately, it’s not as “compact” as some of my other travel umbrellas. It’s not super long when it’s all folded up, but it is very wide. (I’ll try to attach a picture but it’s about as wide as the palm of my hand) It’s also relatively heavy when compared with other travel umbrellas. That’s why I took off one star. All in all, it’s still pretty nice and I do like it. I’m going to keep it in my care for rain emergencies when I’m out and about. But if you’re looking for a small travel umbrella like I am, you might want to compared the weight on this with other ones you’re considering.

> 24 hourThe umbrella works fine and is certainly better than no umbrella. It is a bit light and flimsy. Any wind makes it feel like it’s going to blow away if you don’t hold it very close and tight. Moderate wind makes it feel like it’s going to flip inside out - although it hasn’t yet. I try to hold it carefully against the wind. A minor thing that bothers me is that you have to completely collapse the stem after it’s been opened before it will reopen. Doesn’t seem like a big deal. But... I used the umbrella to get to my car after work. I closed the top but left the stem extended when I got in the car. I went to get out at home and was stuck messing with the umbrella in the rain and cut myself. Trying to open it, realizing it wouldn’t, then having to close it and reopen it completely for it to work. It wouldn’t be such a big deal except that I cut/punctured my hand in the process of trying to open it all while getting rained on. It’s small enough to fit in my backpack very easily but just a tad too long for most of my purses. Overall it’s fine.

> 24 hourFor me, the umbrella is unique. It opens completely with a single push of the handle button and collapses very quickly and somewhat startling with another push of the same handle button. The last step is to reduce the shaft length by pushing the two ends together until it clicks. A weaker person will find it easier to reduce the shaft length by placing one hand on top of the other and bracing the other end against the floor.

> 24 hour***2019 Update*** Last year was a record year in my state for rainfall. More rain was seen last year than has been seen for over a century. So you can imagine that I used this umbrella a LOT, and it’s still going strong. This umbrella has traveled across the country on an airplane, been tossed into bags and suitcases, and more than a few times been dropped on the ground. This umbrella lives up to the claims of a sturdy construction. I have never had an umbrella last this long. The only minor thing “wrong” with it is that there are some rust stains on the fabric, which admittedly is probably my fault for folding it up wet a few times. All the open and closing mechanisms work, the color is still vibrant, and it still doesn’t flip in the winds. Still keeps me dry. Best umbrella I’ve ever owned. Best investment I ever made on an umbrella. ***2017*** Ive struggled for so long to find a decent umbrella. Didnt seem to matter if I spent a lot or a little they always broke on me, because where I live rain tends to be accompanied with strong wind. My umbrellas were forever breaking and being flipped inside out. Generally within only a few uses. I took this one out for the first time yesterday, and I stood outside for 45 minutes in some pretty strong wind and light rain and stayed as dry as possible under those circumstances. The design is suited to not being flipped, like other umbrellas that I have had. It has a very sturdy construction and the material repels water very well. It was wider than I expected for the relatively small size. It fits well in the side pocket of my backpack. It is a bit heavier than I expected, but still is not that much of an issue. Opening it is a snap, though closing it can be a bit fiddly, because you have to push down until it clicks in place and once or twice it seemed to have clicked but then sprang open again.I have high hopes though, especially since it comes with a lifetime guarantee. Will update in the future.

> 24 hourSeems well made. But one point lost me. Push the button and it opens. Push button again it collapses, then you push closed. When it collapses there is a white string exposed that you can see that is part of the opening action. I dont see this lasting long at all. Additionally, once you collapse it you have to fully close it to then repoen it. You cant manually push it open. So when thay elastic opening part breaks, you cant even manually force it open.
