> 3 dayI love the color of this umbrella, but it is not a compact umbrella. This is no different from any umbrella that is used on a regular basis. I was looking for a compact, travel size umbrella for travel that is sturdy, yet light weight that can be thrown into a purse and this is not it. Returning the item.

Greater than one weekThe first time I opened the umbrella the cap and fabric “frill” around it came off. Also, as you can see from the photo, the logo tag was only half-stitched onto the sheath cover. Obviously sub-par construction. We will see for how long the umbrella mechanics hold together.

> 3 dayThis umbrella is well made and very pretty. Unfortunately, it’s not as “compact” as some of my other travel umbrellas. It’s not super long when it’s all folded up, but it is very wide. (I’ll try to attach a picture but it’s about as wide as the palm of my hand) It’s also relatively heavy when compared with other travel umbrellas. That’s why I took off one star. All in all, it’s still pretty nice and I do like it. I’m going to keep it in my care for rain emergencies when I’m out and about. But if you’re looking for a small travel umbrella like I am, you might want to compared the weight on this with other ones you’re considering.

> 3 dayWonderful product. Bought this after getting caught in a windy rain storm and being failed by my previous umbrella which flipped with every gist of wind and have not been disappointed by this product. I can now confidently hold this up during a windy storm without having to worry about holding it just the right way so that the wind doesnt flip it. I even tested it during a particularly windy day to see if it would flip, but alas it proved to be a great product and withstood the strong wind. The product also comes with a lifetime guarantee which is useful but Im pretty sure this umbrella will be able to last for a while. Though I will say it is definitely a one person umbrella as I tried to share it with an umbrella-less friend and it covered only half of each of us so if you want an umbrella to share, you might want to look elsewhere. Apparently this product is also from a small business whose customer service is impeccable. From the day I ordered I received emails asking if I needed any help and when I did (my umbrella cap came broken) they were very happy to help and send a replacement asap at no charge.

> 3 dayEDIT/UPDATE - My original review is below, but Ive edited/updated my review based on the FANTASTIC & QUICK customer service I received. I was able to reach out to the seller directly as I discovered there is a lifetime warranty on this product. They answered my communication within a day & they are sending out a new umbrella. So, even though the umbrella malfunctioned/broke, they made good on it immediately. Customer service like that will keep me as a client as well as feeling confident in recommending this product/seller to others. ORIGINAL POSTED REVIEW: I purchased this umbrella for a trip, but due to the coronavirus lockdown, it was cancelled. I LOVED this umbrella when I received it. Albeit a bit heavier than Id like for a travel umbrella, it seemed sturdy. I have probably used it a handful of times, in moderate weather (meaning no heavy rain or wind) & when I went to use it recently, it wouldnt operate correctly. On closer inspection, I noticed that the interior, plastic housing that helps the umbrella expand, was broken. This was a huge disappointment. Unless the manufacturer is willing to make good on this defect, (as its been a while since I purchased this item,) I dont have the option of returning or exchanging it. Seems like such a waste. In the photo, zoom in & you can see the cracked plastic housing.

> 3 dayI ordered some of these for an upcoming trip with a rainy forecast. I could not find any info on how much they weigh and wanted to answer that question for everyone: 14 ounces. This is on the heavier side for a travel umbrella, but they seem sturdy, include the open/close feature, and are reasonably priced, so I’m going to keep them and see how they work out.
