Its not unusual to get a defective part so I dont feel this needs a one star if I had ordered more and they had been defective, then yes. The one I ordered did have the copper around the inside glass so you will need Kapton tape during the installation across the bottom contacts and to wrap the ic (if you fail to do this you will get screen jumping). I am a repair specialist and unfortunately the screen had dead spots and ghosted very bad.

Glitches after install. Like a ghost is touching the screen.

The first one I ordered came cracked. I had to order a 2nd one. The 2nd one did the trick.

The quality is low, dont buy it !! I replaced the broken screen on my wifes iPad mini retina, and even if everything seems to be ok from the beginning, after a couple of minutes of usage, the digitizer starts to act crazily, not responding properly, the picture on the screen is shaking. Tried to restart the iPad many times - the same result. Unfortunately, I cannot return this item because I live in Moldova (i ordered it during my trip to US). Bad investment.

The package came with a bad digitizer and only had 3 sides with adequate glue. the home button also moves around and did not stay in place. The bad digitizer was not apparent until a week after installing it on the ipad with limited use.

Did not perform as expected, does not work, even followed installation procedures correctly with detailed instructions, screen ordered does not work at all, very, very disappointed...
