> 24 hourI ordered this and its still working. That was over a year ago. My tortoises love the heat that it provides. I would definitely recommend it.

> 24 hourIve been using these for years. They work well, and live up to their stated 5-year life expectancy, so long as you dont drop it or bang it. The ceramic is quite delicate, I suspect it gets even weaker with age from all the heating/cooling cycles, so take care not to jar it.

> 24 hourNumber one you need to buy a light fixture that is at least twice the recommended wattage of the heat emitter. I have a 150w hooked up to a huge 300w fixture, now after this one fused its self to the light fixture and then blew up.

> 24 hourNice. The CHE arrived broken. When I plugged it in, it remained cold. I shook it and heard a broken part rattling inside. I guess ordering light bulbs is a bad idea. Next CHE I get will be in a store so I can return it if it doesnt work.

> 24 hourHavent quite dared to use it. It has a strong odor of burning electronics when plugged in. Recently saw a forum posting that says all ceramic heaters have an odor at first, but Im inclined to return it.

> 24 hourI wish whole heartedly someone could help me resolve this issue. They are not even answering my calls or emails anymore- and I have never received a working ceramic heat emitter. I need it for an ill iguana.

> 24 hourIt is okay. I am not sure I would not have been better off just getting a second bulb. Works as advertised though.

> 24 hourI have been using the heat lamps in my outdoor aviary for a few years now. Seems to do a good job of keeping the birds warm throughout the winter.....at a fraction of the cost of a regular type of heater. I said seems to, because the lamps/bulbs dont heat the air. The heat is absorbed into the birds bodies. So, when I am out in the aviary....I dont feel warm and toasty....but the bird cOme thru the winter fine...so I am assuming they feel the warmth.
