If you want your stuff to come out BLACK, you need to triple the dose, otherwise its going to be purple. Buy the 3 pack, and use the recommended water and salt amount for one bottle.

This is black! Just what I wanted and I love this product.

Im really hard on clothes and but giving a soak in RIT dye every year or so brings back black hoodies etc back to new. incredible ho much newer they look. And for the price it cant be beat. Just need a space where you arent going to make a mess and get die all over your house and stain things. Wear Rubber Gloves!

Waste of money, yah it does color your clothes but not for long cause everytime you wash the clothes colors comes off.. waste of money

If i could give this item 0 stars i would. I’ve used rit dye several times in the past but this was definitely not what im used to. It was watery and almost see through. Yes i shook it up very well! Used the hottest water possible and let the item soak in a large bucket where there was plenty of room. Buyer beware!

I like it but tooks Long time to arrive

These are a great way to breathe new life into fading black clothing. I basically just do a regular load of black, but in super hot water, add all 3 die bottles, add the soap, and then when the clothing is all mixed up, pause the wash so it all sits for about half an hour. Then I continue the wash cycle. In the rinse cycle, add some salt and vinegar. Hang dry. Blank clothing looks new again!
