> 3 dayThese things are invaluable. I never realized how much I would use them. I own about 8, in different sizes, spread around in the cars and workshop area of my home. Safely, easily and very quickly make a secure tie down of anything that is sticking out of your trunk. Hold things on your bike. Temporarily secure just about anything. They are fast and strong. Generally the smaller units, those with 1/4 or smaller rope, are more useful around the home. I use these larger 3/8 units in a truck to tie heavier loads.

> 3 dayWhat’s the point of a locking ratchet if the rope just slips through under pressure? Very dangerous and very much do not recommend.

> 3 dayI would like it if it had the option of a closed end so that I could use it for more things. I will be using it as a safety for roofing since the real ones are so expensive.

> 3 dayIf youre still using those awful one inch wide flat straps to hold down your cargo...STOP!!! These rope ratchets are so much easier to use: no more twisted straps wadding up in the ratchet and a simple push of the thumb releases the rope when youre ready to unload. I have never found these to slip and if you need a longer rope just replace the rope it comes with with a similar one from your local hardware store. No more having to remember which way to thread the flat strap through the ratchet either as these stay together as one unit when not in use. Youll love these I promise!

Greater than one weekNothing to dislike. Used it to anchor a canoe in place for winter storage outside.
