> 3 dayIve purchased a few of these. My favorite kind of tie-down. Ended up giving this one to my niece for a move...immediately ordered a replacement. Helps to keep 3-4 of these in the compartment of my truck.

> 3 dayIve always used ratchet straps to secure loads but Im a cheapskate and tend to buy cheap straps that jam easily. I found one of these rope ratchets in the dollar bin at a thrift store and picked it up. Now Im here on Amazon to buy some more to replace my ratchet straps. This is a clever design, its a ratcheting pulley that is designed so that the wheel of the pulley grips the rope and prevents it from slipping back through the body of the device. It is easy and quick to use since you simply pull it snug, there is no manual ratchet to operate. The only downside I see is that the snugness of the rope depends on your own strength since you dont have the mechanical advantage of a ratchet lever to snug it up. It releases easily with a push of a lever and doesnt seem prone to jamming like my cheapie ratchet straps. Ill buy more for sure.

> 3 dayHad three of these for years. Loaned a couple out and never got them back. So I ordered more. These have very secure locking mechanisms and an easy thumb release. Obviously, they are good enough that the borrower will keep them so don’t loan them out! Available in various weight ratings.
