Roxio Easy LP to MP3 | LP and Cassette to CD or MP3 Audio Converter [PC Disc]

I got this as a gift, and when I read the reviews I was all set for a day wresting with a new gizmo. Plugged it in, followed the directions (with pictures), put in a tape, set the autolevel, and hit record. 45 minutes later, I tagged it, putting in names and details. I had to clean up about 4 spots where the recording had gone silent and made the software think there was a break, and exported. Overall, about 5 minutes work, and I had a cassette on my ipod. Where were the problems and struggling to get it to work from the reviews? I havent tried all the bells and whistles, like the online service that figures out what the songs and artist are named. Thats OK - I know who the artist is, and its not a big deal to type them in. Overall, its a 60 buck widget that puts my music collection on my computer with a few easy clicks, already in MP3 format so I dont have to convert it like some products. The sound quality transfers perfectly, and thats really all I need. I havent tried tackling the LPs yet, but what Ive seen of the noise reduction works pretty well. One note - live albums where the sound is continuous, be prepared to split the songs manually, as it wont recognize applause as non-music. And, your source needs a pre-amp (i.e., headphone jack).

Product key that came with software does not work. Roxio technical support provided a new key, and that does not work either. Like pulling teeth to be able to use the product I paid for a month ago.

Not so easy. Directions are not very clear and it takes a very long time for each album to copy to a CD.

The instructions were not very good but my stepson is a computor tech and figured out what we needed to do to make it work. Besides using a USB port you need to use the line out also. Have only copied about a half dozen songs as my wife finds to much for me to do in retirement. But the songs that I did do turned out great and it took all the scratches out. I have probably a thousand records, most of them in excellent condition but this Roxio program really fixes the ones that have popping or scratchy noises.

I am using windows XP SP3. Worse Roxio program I have ever gotten. It would be bad enough if it just didnt work, which it does not, but it so messed up the computer I had to restore. Tried three times no luck and NO SUPPORT from roxio web site. Search for easy LP to MP3 and you get a bunch of games. I wouldnt sell this at a garage sale.

Software installed fine but does not work. Hijacks the sound card. Cannot monitor the recording properly or set recording level. Unable to playback recording or set up proper format. Totally useless. Dont buy this product.

I am not sure what the problem with this program is, but this analog to digital program is highly unreliable. For the price, this program should have definitely tested more completely then this as it appears there are still many bugs in it. My reason for purchase being that the program was easy to use. However with the amount of wasted time when recording and at the point of completing the music, I get a message the program is not responding and I have to delete and restart again. I have contacted Roxio with the graphics of what the program does. No helpful information. Compare carefully with other programs before paying over $50.00 for this unreliable program.
