I do not want to repeat the reviews already given. This is a terrible product, it does not work on windows 7, AT ALL. Their support is zero. Either buy another product or forget your plans to convert LPs to MP3. THE WORST PR EVER! If I could give less than 1 star I would have done so.

If I receive appropriate customer service, I will remove or update this review accordingly. I installed this products software the other day, and it installed fine. My system meets all compatibility specifications. However, I suspect that the USB capture box is defective. I get no audio input to the computer, evidenced by no deflections on the left/right bar graphs and no music recorded. I have tried it on a second computer and also with two different audio sources. It is either the box or some obscure configuration setting, but I suspect the box. Roxio customer support thus far is the pits. It is by way of a web ticket. They take at least a day to get back and then they dont solve any problems. You cant talk to anybody unless you pay 1.89 per minute even on a brand new purchase. What kind of customer service is this? Does Roxio do RMAs on defective hardware? They better! Now, I have paid for a product that doesnt work and with no solution in sight. Unbelievable. Unless this gets expeditiously resolved I will never buy from this company again.

I was a record collector starting in my early teens when todays Classic Rock songs were being issued as new releases. Many of these old albums were hard to find 40 years ago. What a great way to listen to them without buying them a second time! I have a nice stereo and an expensive turntable that still work fine. The amp/pre-amp setup did not have a line-out connection available so I connected my computer and Roxio to the headphone jack on the amplifier. I went to a guitar store to buy a quality converter to connect the 3.5mm jack supplied in the package to the larger headphone jack used in my stereo. There are more capabilities to manage the raw recording before you create MP3 files than I had expected. Close to Sound Forge quality, but not as robust in fine tuning features. I have been kept busy ripping the albums and songs I have not found on iTunes or in CD format. Old cassette tapes come across just as easily. A great buy!

I have a one of a kind old LP I wanted to convert over to a CD. Im a super busy person and I dont want a thick manual to hoist on board before starting or a long learning curve. Purchased the software, connected things up, loaded the CD, ran the defaults.. and poof.. I was in business. The LP has lots of hiss and pops.. and the CD does not.. brilliant! Music quality is 10 times better.. not 10,000 times better.. which I expected for the money I paid. Took me a minute to figure out I needed to remove the phono input to listen to the music before saving.. not sure that makes me a genious. Thanks to the folks who made the product.

First of all, the USB interface hijacked my system, and made itself the default sound device for everything - I was able to fix this for the most part by myself through the Windows Control Panel. However, it also disabled my Cubase programs ability to hear its own Presonus Firewire interface, until I removed the USB device from the System/device section of Windows Control Panel. But thats not even the main problem, I never got past the main screen, and into the Vinyl/Tape converter, Sound Editor, or Tag editor. All I would get is the Windows message about an unexpected problem. Roxio only offers support via web ticket, unless you want to pay $1.98 per minute, and it takes 24-48 to get a response each time. They had me give them screen shots of the error codes, my system screen, and the main view of the program, and text files of the error code reports. After all of that specific information, they offered such specific advice as, defragment your hard drive, and update your video drivers. The end advice they gave me was that if I still had problems I should return it! Which is why I am sending it back, and waiting to see if Amazon gives me full, partial, or no refund, because its open software. I tried using the Roxio User Forum, right on the user site, but the best advice I got from the local expert was that Roxio products sometimes require a clean install which involves removing all of their other products, downloading and running a utility from Microsoft, and MANUALLY editing the Windows registry! yeah, right. I been using PCs since my first 8086, DOS 3.5 computer in 1989, and this is the first time I have absolutely failed to get a program to run! What part of all of that sounds easy? I dont know which product might be better, but buy anything else but this!

I found this program somewhat complicated on WIN XP; On WIN 7, it was impossible! I could record, but heard no playback - a bit frustrating! I tried many combinations, line into their adapter, line in mic, sound into adapter, sound into computer, nothing worked! I got the CD made, but must re-do - noise that I could have stopped had I been able to hear it during recording. I would NOT recommend this to anyone! Their support sucks - is almost non-existent. You cant respond to their email - no reply & their link doesnt work. There MUST be an easier program to use! This was $79. in Best Buy: its worth about 10% of that!

I am not sure what the problem with this program is, but this analog to digital program is highly unreliable. For the price, this program should have definitely tested more completely then this as it appears there are still many bugs in it. My reason for purchase being that the program was easy to use. However with the amount of wasted time when recording and at the point of completing the music, I get a message the program is not responding and I have to delete and restart again. I have contacted Roxio with the graphics of what the program does. No helpful information. Compare carefully with other programs before paying over $50.00 for this unreliable program.

This product does not record things in the proper sequence.....scrambles everything in whatever order it wants to....duplicate records different pieces of different tracks....puts spaces in the wrong places....leaves out spaces where they belong. The music ID is horrid....it hasnt got very many right....its giving Jimmy Hendrix names to my jazz albums....most of the artists ive never heard of. Dont waste your money....ive spent too many hours wasting time trying to get it to work....why dont these manufacturers work out the bugs before putting things like this on the market!
