> 3 dayOrdinarily I do not take the time to write reviews, I do how ever read them. I am writing this one because of the rather negative feedback I read about the product before I bought the product. My opinion is that it does what it says it does and it does it well. I am on my 48 conversion of a variety of old LPs going back to the 60s that I bought new in the 60s (yeah I am that old). I bought it because it was the only reasonably priced conversion box that is specifically designed to plug into my upscale stereo system (I was not going to rebuy a USB turntable). I hooked it up loaded the software and stumbled a bit getting sound while recording, I had forgotten all the hidden bells and switches in Windows. I am currently recording a clicky LP now. After capturing a few minutes I turned on the clean button and set the click only almost to the highest level and poof no clicks (the sound presence is a bit muffled but better than not having the music to listen to.)

> 3 dayAfter wrestling with Audacity and Cakewalk Pyro Audio Creator LE CD creation software, I decided to try this Roxio product for a straightforward software suite for conversion of LPs to digital format. Like my experience with Roxio products in the past, they hit the target spot on! I simply loaded the software into my HP laptop running Windows 8.1, configured a USB port for input from the supplied Roxio Audio Capture Box, connected the RCA cables from my Stanton T.92 Turntable fitted with a Stanton 500.V3 Cartridge (switching the output of the Turntable from Phono to Line), and away I went. I chose to import the tracks from the LP in WAV format for easier editing and enhancement of the tracks using the Sound Editor. The uncompressed WAV format gives richer sound quality as opposed to the compressed MP3 format. You can always rip the WAV files to MP3 later to conserve disc space. I preferred to export these conversion projects to a stand alone 3 terabyte capacity Seagate external hard drive so file size is a non-issue. This Roxio product includes sufficent onboard Help to speed your learning process in the initial stages. The Clean, Enhance, and Equalizer modules are straightfoward and versatile. The mini-jack Line Out on the Roxio Audio Capture Box is a convenient way to monitor the recording process via headphones or an external preamp/amp arrangement as well. Thats a lot of recording punch for a very modest price. Toss Audacity, install this, and save yourself a ton of time!

> 3 dayI have several cassette tapes of recordings with family members that are over twenty-years old and had been wanting to get some software so that I could transfer those tapes to an mp3 format and then burn them on a CD. I had to wait, however, until I got a new computer to be able to do so. After getting a new computer and looking around at some of the stores in the area and doing some research online, I bought ROXIO EASY LP TO MP3 software. I found the directions fairly easy to follow, though there are some slight discrepancies between the instructions and what a person has to do to actually get everything to work (the instructions that came with my software kit instructed me to place one of the cords in the wrong slot on the Audio Capture USB device). The software on the CD-ROM loaded without any issues and the program was up and running and ready to go in about a total of fifteen minutes. I was able to transfer one of my tapes into an mp3, save it on my computer, and burn it onto a cd without any major issues. In transferring that first tape, the only negative aspect of the process of using ROXIO EASY LP TO MP3 is that the process not only copied all of the vocalizations, but it emphasized the static on the tape caused by the age and wear and tear it underwent in the past two decades. Since transferring and recording that first cassette, I have used the software and the transfer kit several times (for instance to make cd recordings from a digital recording) and have had no issues. Ive only used ROXIO EASY LP TO MP3 to transfer cassettes and digital recordings, so I cant say how well it works in transferring LPs to MP3s. Im also aware that this isnt the best software on the market. However, for someone on a modest budget who is more interested in transferring cassettes than LPs, ROXIO EASY LP TO MP3 works reasonable well.

> 3 dayThis program hangs up or wont run at all. Will try to re install it and see if it runs better. Have been using it for 2 months with little trouble until lateley. Roxio said to diable my A/V and other running apps with msconfig but I dont like having no antivirus when doing anything. Hope they release a patch. Otherwise I feel mediocre is the best I can say about this app.

Greater than one weekFirst, I installed this software under Windows XP 32 Bit. Except for not being completely easy due to inadequate documentation, like the product description states, they do provide everything you need to easily digitize, clean up and convert audio from analog LPs and cassettes to MP3. The Getting Started Guide does provide the needed information to get you started with the basics, but using all the features/tools with the included documentation takes some experimentation, and much time, which one would not need to do if the documentation was adequate. For example, although they provide information on the Denoiser tool, they do not provide the detailed information to really use/understand it. The settings for the Denoiser are listed in db (decibels), but if one sets it at -4 db, what does that mean: reduce the noise -4 db below the maximum noise level, reduce the noise -4 db below the maximum signal level, reduce the noise -4 db below the average signal level, what? It was like that for other features/tools too. If they included files which were designed to illustrate the effects of the features/tools included, that would be a big help in using/understanding all the features/tools; maybe they will read this review and do that. A caveat: When one installs the software, the audio settings in Sounds settings in the Control Panel are set to the Easy LP To MP3 audio device, so one must access this in the Control Panel and reset the audio device to the original device to return sound to ones computer speakers and headphones, and reset the audio device for any other audio items which have been changed to the Easy LP To MP3 audio device by Easy LP To MP3 when it was installed.

03-06-2025If you have any difficulties with this product at all you will not ever be able to talk to a live person unless you buy them, Corel/Roxio sends you emails with links to respond but they ignore them. I responded twice to their emails to inform them I was not available to accomplish suggested fixes because I was out of town burying my Mother and they went ahead and CLOSED MY CASE!!!!! Totally unfeeling, uncaring, insensitive customer service. Buyer beware! Customer service for Corel products and Roxio are non-existent unless you buy the service on top of the crappy product. I will NEVER EVER buy another Corel product or anything that has the name Roxio on it.

Greater than one weekThis was a 2009 Christmas gift from my Wife & Daughter. I have used other Roxio products in the past, so I was somewhat familiar with what to expect. This is Version 10.3.104 Pros: Fast and easy. Crisp, clean results. Fairly inexpensive ($50 online) Cons: No warning that the turntable needs a pre-amp. Software hijacks the Speakers/Sound card. I would give this product 5 stars, except for these cons. It comes in a small box with various cables and adapters for connecting your turntable. Your turntable MUST be pre-amplified to line levels. This is not mentioned anywhere before you purchase, a big Con in my opinion. I was lucky enough to have an Aiwa PX-E860 which has a pre-amp. The heart of this system is the RCA to USB adapter and the Software itself. I think a person could use this software with just their sound card if they dont want to use the adapter. Also the software hijacks the sound card and you have to plug your speakers or headset into the USB adapter, if you want to hear the music while recording. Another big Con, in my opinion. I have not figured out how to get the speakers back yet. Im pretty sure it will be a simple thing, I just havent chased it down yet. Software installation is just like every other package these days. Insert the CD, it autostarts, answer in the affirmative to Licensing glop and Legal noise, agree to default directories and go. There is a 16 page Getting Started Guide, but the software is fairly intuitive and I got my first LP started without the Guide. To capture your music, just put on the LP and follow the Guide. It really is easy. If it doesnt capture the splits properly, there is an editor that lets you quickly adjust the tracks. You can fill in all the Track Info and save to various mp3 bit rates or other formats. The Sound Editor also has all the standard filters for noise, hiss, pop, etc. It will also let you create and burn to CDs. Botton line, I was REALLY pleased with the final results! This really is the easiest way I have found so far, to convert LPs to digital format. My final results were truely crisp and clean.

> 3 dayIll start with saying that i purchased this product just a few months ago, and i am ready to throw my hands up. First of all, like in all the other reviews, the program hijacks the soundcard. The second problem i have is skipping during playback. It does this regardless of whether the original source vinyl was perfectly skip free or not. to be sure, i tried recording a cassette tape with the program..and it still skipped upon playback of the recording. What gives? i dont want to take it back , cuz i feel this could be a decent program and maybe i have some settings wrong or maybe another program i have installed is to blame. who knows? but if this is the absolute best that the program performs, under any circumstance, then i am very disappointed and will never purchase another roxio product period ever again. the end..
