> 3 dayAfter wrestling with Audacity and Cakewalk Pyro Audio Creator LE CD creation software, I decided to try this Roxio product for a straightforward software suite for conversion of LPs to digital format. Like my experience with Roxio products in the past, they hit the target spot on! I simply loaded the software into my HP laptop running Windows 8.1, configured a USB port for input from the supplied Roxio Audio Capture Box, connected the RCA cables from my Stanton T.92 Turntable fitted with a Stanton 500.V3 Cartridge (switching the output of the Turntable from Phono to Line), and away I went. I chose to import the tracks from the LP in WAV format for easier editing and enhancement of the tracks using the Sound Editor. The uncompressed WAV format gives richer sound quality as opposed to the compressed MP3 format. You can always rip the WAV files to MP3 later to conserve disc space. I preferred to export these conversion projects to a stand alone 3 terabyte capacity Seagate external hard drive so file size is a non-issue. This Roxio product includes sufficent onboard Help to speed your learning process in the initial stages. The Clean, Enhance, and Equalizer modules are straightfoward and versatile. The mini-jack Line Out on the Roxio Audio Capture Box is a convenient way to monitor the recording process via headphones or an external preamp/amp arrangement as well. Thats a lot of recording punch for a very modest price. Toss Audacity, install this, and save yourself a ton of time!

> 3 dayOrdinarily I do not take the time to write reviews, I do how ever read them. I am writing this one because of the rather negative feedback I read about the product before I bought the product. My opinion is that it does what it says it does and it does it well. I am on my 48 conversion of a variety of old LPs going back to the 60s that I bought new in the 60s (yeah I am that old). I bought it because it was the only reasonably priced conversion box that is specifically designed to plug into my upscale stereo system (I was not going to rebuy a USB turntable). I hooked it up loaded the software and stumbled a bit getting sound while recording, I had forgotten all the hidden bells and switches in Windows. I am currently recording a clicky LP now. After capturing a few minutes I turned on the clean button and set the click only almost to the highest level and poof no clicks (the sound presence is a bit muffled but better than not having the music to listen to.)

> 3 dayEasy should be removed from the box description. What a pain in the YKW! Directions for alternative connections to your receiver stink. Obviously, the users guide writers have never worked with the product. I spent over 3 hours with the on line chat guy. He finally ask if I had a my own RCA cable than what came in the box. Try that cable and see if works he writes. Like I have a 10 RCA cable. Doesnt everyone?! What a joke. Bottom line is I have re-packaged this worthless product and will return it. Nothing worse then being told its so easy only to find no support phone # (disconnects when you enter the # you want) The chat line person pretty much had no clue. Easy? Not at all. Easily a waste of your time and money. Do not buy this product!!

> 3 dayI dont think Ive ever had a Roxio program that works reliably with Windows. This is a program I use occasionally, but it seems that every time I use it, I have to insert the installation disc, and repair the program using Control Panel. If not, it goes through the motions of recording an album, and then you get a pop up notice that says Please wait while Windows configures Roxio Easy LP to MP3 - and there it hangs for eternity. And as I said, this isnt the first Roxio program Ive seen with compatibility issues. My suggestion is that they either work out their issues with Microsoft, or get the hell out of the software business, and stop taking money for products that dont work. Another annoying feature when it does work is that whatever search engine they use is clueless. Recording a single album, it will randomly identify tracks as coming from three or four different albums, so you then have to manually renumber and reassign them. Its not a huge intuitive leap to work out that if the first three tracks are from one album, theres a high likelihood that the other seven are too!

> 3 dayIf you have any difficulties with this product at all you will not ever be able to talk to a live person unless you buy them, Corel/Roxio sends you emails with links to respond but they ignore them. I responded twice to their emails to inform them I was not available to accomplish suggested fixes because I was out of town burying my Mother and they went ahead and CLOSED MY CASE!!!!! Totally unfeeling, uncaring, insensitive customer service. Buyer beware! Customer service for Corel products and Roxio are non-existent unless you buy the service on top of the crappy product. I will NEVER EVER buy another Corel product or anything that has the name Roxio on it.

> 3 dayThis is a good product that works as advertised. There has been several bad reviews but I think if you understand what the product is going to do it will be good experience. The product will take over (hijack) your sound card. It does this to make sound capturing as easy as possible and to allow you to capture gaming songs, but it means your speaker/headphones jack isnt going to work anymore. The hardware has a Line Out on the back but the signal is very hot for headphones, so you have to turn the volume way down. Thats the worst of it. If you can get past that, the product is full of good tools to help you turn your LPs, cassettes, or in my case, reel to reels into MP3s. My suggestion is to get all the LPs you want transferred done at once, then uninstall the product.

> 3 dayThis Product (Easy LP to MP3) is a complete scam and a total rip off. The key provided to install the software is not valid, so you cant even get to square one. Roxio support is non-existent. I E-mailed them, asking help with the invalid key that was provided with the software CD. No response. Stay as far away from this product as you can.
