First of all, the USB interface hijacked my system, and made itself the default sound device for everything - I was able to fix this for the most part by myself through the Windows Control Panel. However, it also disabled my Cubase programs ability to hear its own Presonus Firewire interface, until I removed the USB device from the System/device section of Windows Control Panel. But thats not even the main problem, I never got past the main screen, and into the Vinyl/Tape converter, Sound Editor, or Tag editor. All I would get is the Windows message about an unexpected problem. Roxio only offers support via web ticket, unless you want to pay $1.98 per minute, and it takes 24-48 to get a response each time. They had me give them screen shots of the error codes, my system screen, and the main view of the program, and text files of the error code reports. After all of that specific information, they offered such specific advice as, defragment your hard drive, and update your video drivers. The end advice they gave me was that if I still had problems I should return it! Which is why I am sending it back, and waiting to see if Amazon gives me full, partial, or no refund, because its open software. I tried using the Roxio User Forum, right on the user site, but the best advice I got from the local expert was that Roxio products sometimes require a clean install which involves removing all of their other products, downloading and running a utility from Microsoft, and MANUALLY editing the Windows registry! yeah, right. I been using PCs since my first 8086, DOS 3.5 computer in 1989, and this is the first time I have absolutely failed to get a program to run! What part of all of that sounds easy? I dont know which product might be better, but buy anything else but this!

Easy should be removed from the box description. What a pain in the YKW! Directions for alternative connections to your receiver stink. Obviously, the users guide writers have never worked with the product. I spent over 3 hours with the on line chat guy. He finally ask if I had a my own RCA cable than what came in the box. Try that cable and see if works he writes. Like I have a 10 RCA cable. Doesnt everyone?! What a joke. Bottom line is I have re-packaged this worthless product and will return it. Nothing worse then being told its so easy only to find no support phone # (disconnects when you enter the # you want) The chat line person pretty much had no clue. Easy? Not at all. Easily a waste of your time and money. Do not buy this product!!

As the name implies, this is designed to be a simple, intuitive way to convert LPs and cassettes to mp3 format (or any other standard audio format). It even comes with the cables you need to hook your analog device to your PC. It only takes a few minutes to install, hook up the hardware, and start capturing audio files. A slider lets you set the recording level or you can select auto and itll do it for you. It will also tag each of the selections as they are recorded, which you will want to adjust once all the tracks are in your PC. You can click check boxes to clean and enhance the tracks for you, or you can open the audio editor and do a bit more on your own (for example, fading a portion of a track from 100% to 0% and vice versa, trimming the gap between two tracks, etc). This is exactly what most people doing this sort of conversion need -- a simple tool to do a simple job.

I have several cassette tapes of recordings with family members that are over twenty-years old and had been wanting to get some software so that I could transfer those tapes to an mp3 format and then burn them on a CD. I had to wait, however, until I got a new computer to be able to do so. After getting a new computer and looking around at some of the stores in the area and doing some research online, I bought ROXIO EASY LP TO MP3 software. I found the directions fairly easy to follow, though there are some slight discrepancies between the instructions and what a person has to do to actually get everything to work (the instructions that came with my software kit instructed me to place one of the cords in the wrong slot on the Audio Capture USB device). The software on the CD-ROM loaded without any issues and the program was up and running and ready to go in about a total of fifteen minutes. I was able to transfer one of my tapes into an mp3, save it on my computer, and burn it onto a cd without any major issues. In transferring that first tape, the only negative aspect of the process of using ROXIO EASY LP TO MP3 is that the process not only copied all of the vocalizations, but it emphasized the static on the tape caused by the age and wear and tear it underwent in the past two decades. Since transferring and recording that first cassette, I have used the software and the transfer kit several times (for instance to make cd recordings from a digital recording) and have had no issues. Ive only used ROXIO EASY LP TO MP3 to transfer cassettes and digital recordings, so I cant say how well it works in transferring LPs to MP3s. Im also aware that this isnt the best software on the market. However, for someone on a modest budget who is more interested in transferring cassettes than LPs, ROXIO EASY LP TO MP3 works reasonable well.

I found this program somewhat complicated on WIN XP; On WIN 7, it was impossible! I could record, but heard no playback - a bit frustrating! I tried many combinations, line into their adapter, line in mic, sound into adapter, sound into computer, nothing worked! I got the CD made, but must re-do - noise that I could have stopped had I been able to hear it during recording. I would NOT recommend this to anyone! Their support sucks - is almost non-existent. You cant respond to their email - no reply & their link doesnt work. There MUST be an easier program to use! This was $79. in Best Buy: its worth about 10% of that!

I was a record collector starting in my early teens when todays Classic Rock songs were being issued as new releases. Many of these old albums were hard to find 40 years ago. What a great way to listen to them without buying them a second time! I have a nice stereo and an expensive turntable that still work fine. The amp/pre-amp setup did not have a line-out connection available so I connected my computer and Roxio to the headphone jack on the amplifier. I went to a guitar store to buy a quality converter to connect the 3.5mm jack supplied in the package to the larger headphone jack used in my stereo. There are more capabilities to manage the raw recording before you create MP3 files than I had expected. Close to Sound Forge quality, but not as robust in fine tuning features. I have been kept busy ripping the albums and songs I have not found on iTunes or in CD format. Old cassette tapes come across just as easily. A great buy!

This product has no support , it is not a Roxio item and has been sold to Corel . Update server keeps saying try update later . I tried for 3 weeks and always the same response . Corel , Roxio and Amazon should be ashamed of themselves for selling this garbage ! No 800 support without going to there PREMIUM service which means you pay them to fix there poor product . What JUNK !!!

Product key that came with software does not work. Roxio technical support provided a new key, and that does not work either. Like pulling teeth to be able to use the product I paid for a month ago.
