Worked beautifully. Too well, in fact. I severely underestimated the level of funk in our water. Almost immediately after installing this, the filter element was black with sand. I am currently running it sans element until the 30 mesh arrives. Even without an element, it spins quite a lot of garbage to the bottom of the reservoir.

I am pushing about 12 gal/min through this. I have 2 sediment traps in the line because this didnt seem to stop much. Both have a 100 mesh screen. The 2nd trap stops more than this. I was going to change to 100 mesh followed by a finer mesh but not sure I can do that now.

Filter is working fine. Easy to install. Easy to clean. Saves from buying replaceable cartridges.

Turned out this was unnecessary for my application (water purification in Puerto Rico). I thought this would help eliminate the thicker particles but it turns out that this will just reduce your water pressure with no noticeable improvement in water quality. Luckily it wasnt terribly expensive so I just gave it to a friend who lives in a location with rougher water.

Item shipped fast and as described, complete with filter, valve and thread tape. Quality product, best thing is, its made in the USA, in central Florida even.

Initially the incorrect part was sent, however, I reorder and the correct part was sent in a few days.

We have had this installed for about a week a now. It works better than expected. Thats the good news, and the bad news. Our water is crystal clear, but we have a lot of sand in the water from the well so I have to clear out the filter once a day. Prior to purchasing this, we spent a lot of money replacing shower, tub, sink valves and spouts due to the sand build up. This will help a lot with that. It does work, and since it works, if you have sediment in your water, you will have to clear the filter as frequently as the sediment builds up so install it in the most convenient place that you can for clearing the filter. PROS: It works great! CONS: It works great!

I am a rainwater contractor and I use these often. They are wonderful! They keep your pump from getting larger debris into the pump.
