Get higher number than 100 if you have well water

I am a rainwater contractor and I use these often. They are wonderful! They keep your pump from getting larger debris into the pump.

Installed when we replaced our pressure tank. Works great to remove sediment from the water system. Very easy to flush.

Next time I would get less restrictive mesh screen. Water pressure is too low.

I used this on a sprinkler pump in Florida and a week after install the filter is completely clogged with Algae. If the filter is in bright sunshine, cover the clear tube with a black inner bicycle tire tube or a black thick sock or stocking or even AC coolant line insulation. The sunlight causes the algae to grow and clog frequently. They sell a sunshade as an add-on but it should come with an opaque cover by default.

Works well

Giving it 5 stars because it works. Clogs in 5 minutes, but thats my well. Going to try adding a disk filter to pre-treat it.

I am pushing about 12 gal/min through this. I have 2 sediment traps in the line because this didnt seem to stop much. Both have a 100 mesh screen. The 2nd trap stops more than this. I was going to change to 100 mesh followed by a finer mesh but not sure I can do that now.
