13-04-2025We have had this installed for about a week a now. It works better than expected. Thats the good news, and the bad news. Our water is crystal clear, but we have a lot of sand in the water from the well so I have to clear out the filter once a day. Prior to purchasing this, we spent a lot of money replacing shower, tub, sink valves and spouts due to the sand build up. This will help a lot with that. It does work, and since it works, if you have sediment in your water, you will have to clear the filter as frequently as the sediment builds up so install it in the most convenient place that you can for clearing the filter. PROS: It works great! CONS: It works great!

> 3 dayWorks well and doesnt seem to have a big impact on flow rate. Easy to clean. I used to stop sediment in well from clogging irrigation system zone valves. No issues since installation.

> 3 dayThis is a quality filter that works very well with a shallow well pump.

> 3 dayHad to change my Whole house filter every month due to fine sand up to the top. Was a struggle to pull out the filter with all the sand. Installed this sucker and now I change my filter ever 3 month with only a tiny bit of sand on the bottom of the screw on filter container. Tough Construction, ball valve is nice. Have to be a super clutz to break this thing. Spray the sediment into a bucket every day or two or three. Put the mesh filter in a bucket of fresh water before I turn off the system and brush the sand off.

> 3 dayOnly had this product for about 5 days now but is working excellent. Have a deep well that is roughly 400’ deep with casing going down about 80’. I’m running a 1-1/2 hp deep well pump with 1-1/4 pipe and was picking up small trash from time to time which would block my sprayer nozzle. This water is only used for outside watering garden, lawn, & washing auto. Would still recommend product if using for your home if your having issues.

Greater than one weekThe reason I only gave this three stars and not more is because the filter worked awesome until the inlet nut cracked after 24 hours and practically flooded my basement.

> 3 dayI use #100 mesh for the filter. However, there is a lot of sand in the water from my well and it clogs up the filter. I need to remove and clean the mesh insert every two days. Rusco makes a trapper filter which has a longer plastic case. In theory the sand should settle to the bottom and not be spun into the mesh. If this does not work, then I will need to try a more coarse mesh. Other than this problem, the filter does a great job in removing the sediment.

Greater than one weekSeems to work fine. I drain it one time a week. I don`t know why I need more words. How long can you talk about a filter.

Greater than one weekThis works great and is a must have for any well system before water hits a whole house filter. I used them on two well installations.

> 3 dayIm on well water that has a lot of manganese in it. I put two of these sediment filters upstream of a Big Blue 20 DGD-2501 filter and they extend the filter element life two of three times. I do use the flushing feature fairly regularly (once a week or more in the rainy season) At first I had 100 and 250 mesh screens in these housings, but have stepped it up to 140 and 500 screens to see if I can extend the filter life even more. I great product that does exactly what I wanted. Running the washing machine is where I really see whats going on. However, if I had to do it over again, Id get the bigger housing (1.5 inlet & outlet, vice 1) to see if it would increase flow when the screens were getting plugged.
