> 3 dayThis little hub is awesome. My wife bought one first and recommended it to me, so now we both have one. I love having the individual push buttons, as I keep three charging cords plugged in all the time for my phone, smartwatch and Bluetooth headset. I hate wasting power when I dont need them on, so thats quite a handy feature. And it seems the hub has no problem passing plenty of power to the individual ports via USB3, though Ive only had to use two of my charge cords at once so far. For the fourth port, Ive used an SD card reader and my two-factor authentication dongle. I actually ended up moving the card reader to a port on my laptop dock because the SD card sticks out the side and interferes with the other cables. I think thats my only gripe, and its a pretty minor one that not everyone will run into. Having my 2FA dongle in the fourth port is pretty nice so I can turn it off when not needed, eliminating the potential for some malicious code to give hackers access to my accounts somehow with the dongle sitting there unattended. (Ive never heard of that happening, but Id rather not risk it!) So yeah...good hub.

> 3 dayMy job requires a lot of external storage, so I needed a way to add more usb ports for my external hard drives. Since my pc only has one usb port on the front, this device was the perfect solution to my problem. While I wish that its cord length was a bit longer, it still gets the job done, and the connection is very stable. I also like that you can easily turn off and on your plugged in devices with the buttons.

07-06-2025I bought the Sabrent 4-Port USB 2.0 to deal with a problem I was having with my Western Digital Wireless Passport. The Passport Wireless connects fine to a USB 2.0 Port, however it cannot connect to an USB3.0 for some reason. My only computer with USB 2.0 ports stopped working last winter and I was left without a way to connect it. Although the Passport Wireless can work over a WIFI signal, it requires that you disconnect the computer from the homes WIFI network to be able to see its contents, which, as you may realize, is less than ideal. I bought the Sabrent 4-Port to fool the WD Passport Wireless into thinking it was being read by a USB 2.0. It worked wonderfully! it was able to bridge the incompatibility issue I was having. I further stress tested the Sabrent-4 Port by adding two more external hard drives. Not only I was able to read and write to all 3 hard drives, but I was able to do it from my Surface tablet, which I was never able to do with other Dongles. For all the dongles I have, this one turned out to be a real life savior. If you dont have a problem like mine, you may be better off buying the USB 3.0. But I was really thankful that they still make a USB 2.0 version.

> 3 dayI had purchased and returned a usb 3 hub because it was interfering with my wifi. This 2.0 hub is perfect for my old macbook pro (2013). Even still, however, I got some wifi interference. I cant say for sure it was due to the hub, but, just to be safe, I used an extension usb cord so as to put the hub farther away from my laptop. The cord that comes with the unit is pretty short. Its lightweight and doesnt need a separate power source. I like that you can turn on or off the different usb ports. I used it to plug in a webcam, a dongle for a wireless mouse/keyboard, & a 2nd keyboard (because I like using the hardwired keyboard better than the little (wireless) one.) The hub was able to power everything with one port open for more.

> 3 dayHave had this item for sometime now. In fact I have three of them, one to a chromebook and the others to desktop computers. Great item. No problems at all. Blue LED light lets you know if the USB port is active. You can turn the port on and off by the press of a button. So far very reliable. I have the 2.0 but they make the faster 3.0 also. Good product for the $$.

> 3 daySelf-bussing USB hub users often experience two contradictory qualities: it is highly convenient to have a small hub that will run on self-bussing computer power; AND the hubs often dont perform very well. Since current Macbooks only have two USB ports, I depend on self-bussing hubs to handle 2-3 2 TB external hard drives for storage and backup of professional film files, card readers and the external connector for my mouse. Often these hubs dont provide good response for external hard drives and card readers, but this one is excellent. The connectivity is great, and my backups go through seamlessly. I have a complicated Broadcast card reader that requires one USB connector for power and another one for data transmission. I am able to plug the power cord directly into a USB port on the Macbook and the data one works fine through the hub. This hub has been a lifesaver and gotten rid of a lot of frustration in connectivity and functionality. Another great feature is the ability to easily turn the individual ports on the hub on and off with the push of a button. A clear blue light indicates whether the hub is on or off. This cuts off wasted power flow to any hubs that are not being used and saves the power for the hubs that are in operation. Excellent! I usually use 2-3 of the 4 ports and its just great to be able to direct power by turning the other ones off! I also run up and down stairs with my computer a couple of times a day to go from film studio to living room to home office, and the hub has strong connections and a well-build but light design that easily travels with me without disconnecting my portable hard drives. I recommend this hub. Good for expansion, good for smart connectivity, good for travel.

> 3 dayAs a USB switching device, this works great. I use three of the ports: one for speakers, one for camera, and one for microphone. That way, I can be sure that my work PC stays out of my home environment, except when Ive got a call or need to hear something from the speakers. (The laptop microphone is a bit trickier to disable, but were getting there.) There are two problems, though: 1) The lights have already started fading, so its tough to tell which ports are actually on 2) The lights are all the same color. This switch would be SO much more useful if each port were a different color. It amazes me how many pointless LED controls I have for my desktop components that I cant even see, but setting colors for something useful seems to be a major challenge.
