> 3 dayMy husband got this usb port to run multiple charging cords from our wall plug. Since there are not a lot of plugs in our room, it was vital to get a multiport usb to be able to charge our phones and bluetooth headphones. My husband chose this one because he liked the idea that he could turn on and off the individual usb plugs. He also liked the idea that he might be able to use it with his computer, so he was getting multiple uses out of the same device. We had no problem setting up the charger in our room. The plug is very short, just like in the picture. We were hoping that it might be a bit longer so we could easily put it on a dresser. Since it was short, we had to use and extension cord to get it up there. I can see how the shortness might end up being an issue for the computer as well, espically if you are forced to use usb plus on the back of a desktop. Other than that, we haven’t had any problems with the port. All four of the plugs turn on (light up) and off without any problem. We are able to get our devices to charge from each of the ports, with multiple at the same time. It seems to be a solid little device and I am glad that we bought it. Overall, it has been a very useful device to have. We are able to charge multiple devices at the same time and make our lives just a tiny bit more simple.

> 3 daySeriously. I bought this nine years ago, and it still works great. The USB on the side of my laptop is getting funky, constantly making my laptop chime when the external hard drive is bumped the wrong way. I think the USB port is loose inside my laptop. So I pulled the external hub from where Id stored it, plugged it in, and havent had a problem since. I bought this USB hub in 2013 when I had to do a lot of road trips, and for nine bucks (back then it was $6.99 but you have to factor in inflation) its well worth it.

> 3 daySabrent 4-Port USB 2.0 Hub with Individual... sold by Sabrent This is a handy usb controller and the lit PB switchs are also helpful in isolation of the sockets. Small in size can be carried most anywhere. A word of caution.... when you have drives running from this device, DONT TOUCH IT!!! I dont know if the switch contacts are not pressing hard enough or if contact somewhere else fails but you will shut down your drive by simply moving it. It works FINE as long as you do not touch or move it until the drive has completed its task. Works where you need to expand your USB drive, like with a laptop that only has one USB port. and the buttons light up when pushed to use the associated USB port. Honestly, I have had no failure using it as long as I dont touch or move it while data transfer is initiated. I took one star off because of the sensitivity of the hub but otherwise, I like it. *** I did receive an email from the seller, right after my order was in for this device. They wanted to know if there were any problems after I received it so they could take care of any concerns...... and I told them of the problem. That was the LAST I heard from them.... for what its worth. *** I am not associated nor did I receive any merchandise or monies for my unsolicited review. 180413 1453

> 3 dayAs a USB switching device, this works great. I use three of the ports: one for speakers, one for camera, and one for microphone. That way, I can be sure that my work PC stays out of my home environment, except when Ive got a call or need to hear something from the speakers. (The laptop microphone is a bit trickier to disable, but were getting there.) There are two problems, though: 1) The lights have already started fading, so its tough to tell which ports are actually on 2) The lights are all the same color. This switch would be SO much more useful if each port were a different color. It amazes me how many pointless LED controls I have for my desktop components that I cant even see, but setting colors for something useful seems to be a major challenge.

> 3 dayMy office has a docking station shortage so I needed something to plug in all my USB devices for work. This works great for that purpose. I plug in my headset to this device and you can turn off ports with a click of a button on this device. This allows me to very quickly & easily toggle between my headset and the speakers on my laptop itself which I need to do numerous times a day. Fantastic product.

> 3 dayI bought the Sabrent 4-Port USB 2.0 to deal with a problem I was having with my Western Digital Wireless Passport. The Passport Wireless connects fine to a USB 2.0 Port, however it cannot connect to an USB3.0 for some reason. My only computer with USB 2.0 ports stopped working last winter and I was left without a way to connect it. Although the Passport Wireless can work over a WIFI signal, it requires that you disconnect the computer from the homes WIFI network to be able to see its contents, which, as you may realize, is less than ideal. I bought the Sabrent 4-Port to fool the WD Passport Wireless into thinking it was being read by a USB 2.0. It worked wonderfully! it was able to bridge the incompatibility issue I was having. I further stress tested the Sabrent-4 Port by adding two more external hard drives. Not only I was able to read and write to all 3 hard drives, but I was able to do it from my Surface tablet, which I was never able to do with other Dongles. For all the dongles I have, this one turned out to be a real life savior. If you dont have a problem like mine, you may be better off buying the USB 3.0. But I was really thankful that they still make a USB 2.0 version.

> 3 dayI added this USB hub extension to my laptop as my USB ports were fully occupied and I needed more USB capacity. For my USB 2.0 Windoz laptop, this is all I needed and it works like a charm.

06-06-2025Ive been using my hub for a few months now. Pros: It works as intended! My work laptop only has 2 USB plugs, so I needed something. I like that each port togglable, so I dont have to worry about (un)plugging things constantly. Cons: I wish the plugs were spaced slightly further apart from each other, as I have a few USB devices (ex: thumb drive) that are wider. Its not too much of an issue since I often find myself only using 2-3 of the ports at a time. Also, the cord length is awkward at times but good at others. Sometimes I wish it was shorter so it would sit closer to my laptop and not take up more desk space than needed; sometimes I wish it was longer to allow for more flexibility. So, its probably a good length for me. (I think its about 6-8 inches in length, though I dont have it in front of me atm.) Overall, if youre looking for a hub to extend your USB port availability, I give it my approval.
