07-06-2025I bought this to be able to have more things connected to my Promethean board. Normally, O would have to switch between my doc camera, remote pointer, and two other USB devices. But now I have this data hub and Im able to connect all the devices while only needing one USB port from the board. No more switching back and forth. The doc camera and laser pointer work perfectly on it and if I want, I can turn off the power to whichever Im not using without having to disconnect it.

> 3 dayI had purchased and returned a usb 3 hub because it was interfering with my wifi. This 2.0 hub is perfect for my old macbook pro (2013). Even still, however, I got some wifi interference. I cant say for sure it was due to the hub, but, just to be safe, I used an extension usb cord so as to put the hub farther away from my laptop. The cord that comes with the unit is pretty short. Its lightweight and doesnt need a separate power source. I like that you can turn on or off the different usb ports. I used it to plug in a webcam, a dongle for a wireless mouse/keyboard, & a 2nd keyboard (because I like using the hardwired keyboard better than the little (wireless) one.) The hub was able to power everything with one port open for more.

> 3 dayIt worked well at first, but after about 2 years of occasional use, all devices would disconnect after slightly touching it, and you would have to fiddle with it to get the computer to recognize them again. Overall, $8 for two years of use is a pretty good deal, but its annoying to have to buy another one every once in a while instead of maybe paying a bit more to get one that works over a long period of time.

Greater than one weekWith my ever growing group of devices, I once again found myself in need of a new USB hub. My needs were simple, I had no intention of connecting a hard drive or anything that would draw a significant amount of power, all I wanted to do was connect multiple input devices like keyboards, trackpads and gamepads. I came across this Sabrent model with individual on/off switches for each port and liked that idea. This hub is inexpensive and has performed the function for which I needed it very well. As is often the case, you do get what you pay for so this hub doesnt feel very solidly constructed and the lights above the ports kind of bleed over into adjacent ones and I ran into one minor issue with it where for a time it failed to recognize the trackpad on a keyboard/trackpad combination device. It has worked flawlessly aside from that one hiccup. One thing to bear in mind if you plan to use this to connect external storage is that it is a USB 2.0 hub, so you will not get the best transfer speeds out of USB 3.0 devices. Also, as this hub is not powered, you may need to run into some issues depending on the computer or whatever device to which this hub is connected. I use it primarily on an NVIDIA Shield Android TV and have not run into that issue. I have also briefly tested it on a couple of computers. If you have a need to connect simple devices without a significant power draw and would like the ability to enable or disable them at the touch of a button, this unit will fit the bill nicely and is easy on the wallet. If you need a hub for storage devices or other devices that may need to draw more power from the host unit, youll probably want to look into a powered hub instead.

> 3 dayI really like this data hub and it works for my personal needs, im very satisfied. I have a sound bar, mouse and external drive plugged in and it works awesome.. Bonus, you can tell whats on by the blue lights & you can turn off what you dont need by pressing that button.. Anyways, no complaints for this product or the pricing.. Thanks

Greater than one weekI bought the Sabrent 4-Port USB 2.0 to deal with a problem I was having with my Western Digital Wireless Passport. The Passport Wireless connects fine to a USB 2.0 Port, however it cannot connect to an USB3.0 for some reason. My only computer with USB 2.0 ports stopped working last winter and I was left without a way to connect it. Although the Passport Wireless can work over a WIFI signal, it requires that you disconnect the computer from the homes WIFI network to be able to see its contents, which, as you may realize, is less than ideal. I bought the Sabrent 4-Port to fool the WD Passport Wireless into thinking it was being read by a USB 2.0. It worked wonderfully! it was able to bridge the incompatibility issue I was having. I further stress tested the Sabrent-4 Port by adding two more external hard drives. Not only I was able to read and write to all 3 hard drives, but I was able to do it from my Surface tablet, which I was never able to do with other Dongles. For all the dongles I have, this one turned out to be a real life savior. If you dont have a problem like mine, you may be better off buying the USB 3.0. But I was really thankful that they still make a USB 2.0 version.

> 3 dayI use this daily for my work computer. My computer only had a couple ports, so I needed to be able to add my phone and camera for teleworking. Very handy.

Greater than one weekThis the second one I bought because it’s a good quality for the price. And I travel with my laptop that has one USB port so I can add devices easily and & I like that I can turn them off/on when needed. And I like that the cord is shorter so it can sit directly next to my laptop.
