Safari Ltd Safariology the Life Cycle of a Honey Bee

My preschoolers just loved playing with the individual pieces as well as putting them in the proper ladybug life cycle order. The pieces are large enough to not get lost easily. I added in several books on the lady bugs life cycle, created a sensory habitat in the classroom along with magnifying glasses and a few bug box boxes. We went outside and caught lady bugs as well as ladybug larvae/grubs to study then let go. It all tied in nicely and gave them a hands on understanding. I also bought the monarch butterfly and the frog life cycle. and did the same thing. All are at a reasonable price and a good quality. I highly recommend them.

The pieces are all nice and large and sturdy! I only wish the adult monarch was more true to color. Mine ended up more red orange rather than the light orange if a true monarch.

I bought this product as a gift to my granddaughter that as 3,5 years old. She is very exited with the cycle of a monarch butterfly that was delivered together with the big honeybee and the life cycle of a honey. Her interest to know more about the insects is growing up. All then are a marvelous didactic resources. Thank you.

Great set. We love having it out while we’re raising butterflies. The chrysalis did break off from the branch, but oh well, I have rough kids. :/

The one I received didn’t look like the pictures. The color was off and there were no spots painted on different pieces. They looked like cheap knockoffs. The size and weight were good though.
