> 3 dayI purchased this EVO 860 500 GB SSD as replacement for the 5400 RPM HDD in my ASUS laptop. Insalled same day as reciept - entire process took less than an hour with most of the time spent cloning my old drive via USB. With new SSD, my laptop boots up in seconds and everything runs faster and snappier. Installed alarger one in a desktop several months ago and made a huge difference in gaminig load times. Other than a new GPU, having an SSD boot drive is the best uprade you can get for any computer.

Greater than one weekThe SSD of choice for replacing a traditional HDD. Best bang for buck upgrade when you have to stay with SATA. no way I could count how many of these Ive used. I ignore Samsungs transfer utility (if its included - this SKU doesnt). These are also useful in a USB enclosure to make a decent portable drive.
