> 24 hourI have bought many inexpensive SSDs for my various laptops and deskside computers. They are definitely superior to the old spinners with faster boot-up and access times. I was disappointed however when I ran the HD Tune benchmark program. The indicated speeds from the chart resembled a sewing machine at work with widely varying speeds. When the Samsung came on sale, I bought one to see if they were any better. Yes, they are. Their HDT chart was almost a straight line with uniform performance across the test range. I feel the Samsung is faster although I am told it is purely psychological as supposedly, I shouldnt be able to tell the difference using Office and everyday web browsing.

> 24 hourA few months after purchase I noticed that some of my data became unreadable when doing my backup. Taking a look at the Magician utility revealed that the drive was encountering an awful lot of ECC errors. Since the return window was already over and apparently theres no proper warranty in Canada for the drive either (thats what Canada Version means) I decided to keep it around to see whether its just some blocks that were damaged from the get go.
