Unfortunately had to refund this product. Worked very well until this morning when it decided to die on me. No outages, or any issues leading up to this.

There is something wrong with the 870EVO batch reliability at least with the 4TB drives, I am seeing multiple drives failing within 4-5 months. My previous 2TB Samsung SSDs lasted 5 years in this NAS.

So the drive has 8 threaded holes that you would want to probably screw some screws into for mounting. And since the drive itself has the threads, one might imagine that the drive would ship with at least 4 screws to match those threads. But nope. Nada. You get a drive and a little booklet and thats it. Much easier and just about the same cost to slam a 4TB M.2 in, if you have the slot open. And that M.2 is probably 10x faster than this drive.

I replaced the hard drive of a old HP Elitebook laptop with this SSD drive. The data migration software is excellent from Samsung website. Once the data replication is completed, I swap the hard drive and the SSD drive performs very good. Before replacing hard drive, it takes 60 seconds to boot up the Windows 11, it takes 15 seconds to bootup the system with the SSD drive. There are other less expensive SSD drives and most of them dont provide free migration software.

Had this installed in my 10 yr old pc and helped speed up the whole system. Caught a good price as I was looking at it for some time.

Samsung is a Trusted Quality, Fast and dependable.

Installed in less than 20 minutes and I had expanded my computer storage great buy if you want fast storage.

I have had two of these units and both gave me issues with freezing, no response, and a few other goodies. Ive returned both and do not recommend them. Try getting thru to Samsung and the very best of luck! Think twice before buying! No recommended!!!

Installed new drive in May 2021. The drive started failing with bad blocks. Contacted support and had to go through a lot of hoops to get the drive replaced. This is the third Samsung SSD weve had issues with, we are done with them.
