Tell me again why we allow the adoption of the marketing language that allows the NEARLY 10 percent short changing of storage space....3.67TB. Pathetic society!

I got one to install into my ps4 pro because I wanted to see if a performance boost was possible. This is the first time using an ssd and it more than exceeds my expectations. The operating system is fast and snappy. The loading times for games is super fast. I know I’ll be stuck with this generation for quite a while until the PS5 is more available so this was the perfect upgrade. I had to buy another one for my old laptop and it works like a dream now. The installation took a very long time during both occasions due to my poor experiences installing hardware, but nevertheless I was able to get it in there and the rest has been history.

It was vary easy to set and the program that you can down load made very easy you copy from my old drive.

Samsung had a bunch of these go out with bad firmware. Both of these failed within a year, with a ton of read errors prior. When they failed, everything was gone - partitions, data, everything. These will be the last Samsung drives I ever buy. Its just unacceptable that theyd let these out the door. The Internet is loaded with stories of these failing and Samsung just running people around in circles over warranty (as per typical for them). Sad.

The storage speed and capacity is great but the specialist cable to attach it to the computer was not the easiest to obtain in my area and it needed to be formatted. My previous USBs came formatted.

I wanted a 1TB SSD so I could make a copy of my operating system drive and keep it as a spare. I copied my 860 EVO 1TB onto the 870 EVO 1 TB, then left the 870 in as the operating system drive.
