Greater than one weekI purchased the Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB. This is a terrific product. I combined it with a Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB. Samsung Magician is quite magical. It enabled Rapid Mode for the 860 EVO and its lightening fast. Unfortunately, Samsung Magician (S.M.) does not support Rapid Mode for the 970 EVO M.2. So you get its default speed. Oddly, people have reported the 970 EVO (not Plus) does support Rapid Mode and can surpass the speeds of this one. So, the 970 benchmarks at 3400 MB/s read, 3200 MB/s write. The 860 benchmarks at 5600/5900 with Rapid Mode on, for my personal system. It is still high quality and a reliable model with better default speed than the non-Plus, but if Rapid Mode is important to you, Id do some research. Youll want to start getting 1TB drives because realistically you need to partition 10% of SSDs as empty space for a better lifespan. S.M. has many options to manage the drive(s), including partitioning off 10% and optimizing/benchmarking the drives while monitoring health, so I always go with Samsung.

> 3 dayIts a nice drive that meets its posted speeds, but note that the 2TB model runs at least 10°C hotter than the 1TB model, which may be a problem if used in a laptop.

> 3 dayI went with 2 of these (one for read and one for write) specifically because of the cost and the fact I trust the Samsung 970 EVO line. They were quickly installed and recognized by DSM quickly. My NAS now has 500gb read and 500gb write for cache. After running the SSD cache advisor Im glad I ordered 2. Of course this fluctuates over time but my hit rate is at 83%. One day had a total file size of 462gb so the suggested 400gb from Synology would not have been enough. At 83% though, I think 2 of these SSDs are the sweet spot for the NAS. As the advisor says the volume has been effectively accelerated. Even the spinning drive sound coming from the enclosure has quieted down as cache is being read instead of the HDs. A great upgrade. If you are looking for SSDs to add to your Synology, these are a perfect choice.

> 3 dayDrive works great. Fast transfers. Programs load quickly. Youll pay the Samsung tax for it, though.

> 3 dayFYI this does NOT come with the M.2 screw and your motherboard may not have one staged in it. Check when you buy this if you also need the screw (and possibly the spacer screw receiver for the case, if this chip hangs off the motherboard like mine did).

> 3 dayI liked how sleek and small the product was and it fit perfectly in my old mother board from a few years ago. While it did take a BIOS Flash to recognize the device it still works smooth and works perfectly. Cant wait to upgrade my other parts to use its full potential! This is being used for a gaming PC
