Installed on my PS5. The heat sink thing confused me but I bought the 2T one with heat sink and it’s all one piece I think. I just plugged in and followed YouTube instructions and have had zero problems. Recognized immediately as Soon as I turned on my ps5. Moved 80% of my games over. Took just a few minutes. I haven’t had it long, but I don’t foresee any problems. Exactly as expected and working well. No problems do far.

This was super easy to install in my PS5. The only trick was sliding the cover off the PS5, which I watched a video to make sure I pulled in the correct direction to make sure I didnt break any tabs or anything. Other than that, its one screw to open the very obvious expansion port cover, then you pop the stick in and move another screw to hold it in place. Sony clearly intends for people to make this one simple surgery on their system; everything else is hidden from view behind other panels. When I turned the PS5 on, it recognized and formatted the new hard drive, and it had 1.01TB storage on it.

I had a learning curve cloning my internal SSD boot drive onto this one but it ultimately worked great.

Followed instructions for installing in a PS5. Worked without any issues whatsoever.

If youre weighing between an internal SSD or external SSD for your PS5, spend the extra $ and get this. Internal is the way to go, not only do you now have more storage for games... Games can be played right off the SSD. Unlike the external SSD, where games would need to be transferred.

This was easy to install, easy to setup and transfer speeds are higher than factory drive.

I had originally gone with a WD Black 850X for my PS5 since it has such great reviews. Unfortunately, I either got a dud or my PS5 just wasnt compatible with it. I had tried everything suggested in threads as well to make it work, to no avail. Then, I got this lil diddy and boy oh boy, it makes the world of difference with no more headaches or unexpected shut offs! Im able to transfer and download any and all games I choose right to this SSD. Plus, once formatted from the start, it shows to have the whole 2tb of data available. This one worked wonders for me and Im glad the reviews were correct about the performance of the Samsung 980 Pro. Others may have similar problems depending on the company the SSD is from, but this one worked just right for me.
