To begin, this unit is actually impressive despite lacking DRAM. The way and the speeds at which it implements the usage of HMB has something to really boast for. In computers or laptops where one is stuck with PCIe 3, or for the sake of saving money this could actually become good as a secondary unit, such as using a portion of it as permanent cache to re-read. My only issue with this unit is its base price. Its hard to recommend something that is DRAM-less at this price range when one can find some SSDs that have DRAM. The only reason why Im satisfied of my purchase is due to a used unit that was below the 100$C mark, putting it in competition with other DRAM-less SSDs. Beside that, it is good at least!

Moving from 128GB m.2 to this 1TB is a great improvement. Decent speed too. Recommended.

I bought this for my Lenovo Ideapad 3 14ada05 laptop. After a painless install of Windows it was running way faster than the original HDD attached to it.

I replaced a 256 GB M2 SSD with this Samsung 980. I used the Samsung Migration tool to do the transfer which was easy and flawless. The real reason for the installation was so I could transfer a very large game from a HDD. Moving this game from the HDD to the Samsung 980 reduced the load time of the game from about 8 minutes to about 2!
