Enjoyable with its limitations. Like all else.

I received this drive in a factory sealed Samsung box yesterday. My new ASUS Pro A520M-C II motherboard came with the mounting screw so this drive could be installed. The drive would have been easier to install if I had it before placing the motherboard into the case. Since the motherboard was already in the case it was a bit more difficult to install.

Just look at all the other reviews on this. Literally no one is unhappy. Samsung did a perfect job with everything about this M.2 SSD. Top quality for a low price and a sleek design. What more could you ask for?

Im using this as a new OS installation C drive and it works great. Loosen motherboard screw, insert card, secure the screw, and it was done.

I had problems with a new build that I eventually traced to the XPG GAMMIX S70 I was using. It caused BSODs from a WHEA UNCORRECTABLE ERROR. Switching to this Samsung 980 for my boot drive solved all my problems. The speed may be a bit slower (comparing 4th to 3rg gen NVME), but I now believe that reliability is much more important than just saving a few bucks. Youll pay it in the end with wasted time troubleshooting if you buy a cheaper piece of crap.

Very good. It holds all my pictures of porcupines fine and without judging.

This worked immediately in my barebones Minisforum EliteMini HX90 (AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU) small form factor desktop unit. No issues and the benchmark achieved is attached
