> 3 dayWhen you buy an external hard drive you expect plug and play type of functionality. This SSD is a real problem. I have an ACER desktop and it took me quite a while to get it connected. Finding the right driver which you have to download from Samsung was a problem. As pointed out by other reviewers the text message that comes with the SSD gives no directions. Then when I had downloaded the driver I found out that I had to use the USB c port on my PC to connect to the device but a second time that did not get recognized when I plugged it in and I needed to use the USB blue regular connection. The third time only the USB c port was recognized. These ports on my PC connect to other devices without any problems. And connecting to my Samsung Galaxy S10 cell phone? Never did figure out how to get that going. Other than that, it is sleek and small and would be ideal for carrying around. But if you want to connect it to a new device, you might find out that is a headache.

Greater than one weekThis miniature HD is small and effective. Great as a source for Time Machine Function. Also, very easy to download the software to make this unit more compatible with my Mac.

> 3 dayIt’s max write speed is 40mp/s took over a hour to copy 100gb to it. It’s write speed ranges from 40mb/s to 1mb/s averages around 15mb/s this is almost 66 times slower than what’s advertised. I bought this thinking it would be quick and a easy backup solution for game development. This drive can store your data but takes extremely long to put anything on it. You should probably look at any other options. Even a old windows pc using a hard disk writes faster at 80mb/s to 160mb/s. I have tried several fix’s like using different usb port or checking for updates all have failed and I’m disappointed in this product.

> 3 dayVery easy to setup, just plug it in and go. Of course, first you format the drive to fit your computers specifications. For my Mac, I chose APFS. Transfer speeds are very fast, no issues so far. Great choice!

21-11-2024I use this drive for 1+TB of Native Instruments instrument libraries. I connected it USB-c to my iMac and use it with Logic Pro X. Never never have a delay when switching libraries or loading midi instruments. I also own a T5 for video production. the T7 is twice as fast and for the price increase worth every single dime!
