I have a gaming laptop and needed some extra space to run solid works off of. I installed and run solidworks off of this SSD and it works and runs very well. No issues with lag or transfer rates either.

This drive is fast needed to back up my stuff. It backed up 38 gigs of files in 12mins need a bigger one though

It is the lightest one I have ever used and the speed is amazing. I used it for my photo backup and editing. There is no lagging at all when I edit photos on my Lightroom and PS. The only cons I can think about is the price is a little bit higher than its competitors. But considering the size and the speed. I will recommend it.

I just bought this 3 months ago and used it just to store extra things off my phone. It’s 1 Tb and I’ve only used about 200MB so far . Now I go to plug it in to get my information off and it’s saying it’s corrupted!! Like seriously? I formatted it before using it… made sure everything was good. Made sure the port Im using is good etc. now all my files on there and I can’t get them off!! I basically lost everything from my work because I use my phone for my projects!! I am so upset this is beyond the worst thing ever ! External hard drive sure that was a great idea you would think BUT IT really isn’t if the product crashes and need fixing in 3 months with minimal usage !! I’m really fuming mad because this is my work!! Important documents and your product is suppose to be reliable!

First off, I want to start off by saying that Samsung makes the best SSDs. Ive owned many of them without any issues, so I do not question the quality or longevity of this drive.

I do love this thing for its size! I went from a 3lb 500G external to this and it is absolutely amazing. The only issue I have is that if I am copying too many files for too long as I am transferring all my files from that 500G hard drive the Samsung gets a bit warm and will start freezing up and I have to restart my computer to get things set right again. After letting it cool down it works just fine. This may or may not be an issue in the future after I get everything backed up so will have to see.

This makes the 3rd one I have purchased. Perfect for my needs. So far these have been very reliable.
