> 24 hourI received this item, and it was read-only and password protected. I tried to make it read/write but failed. Had no clue what the password was.

> 24 hourPortable HDD drives offer large amounts of storage for a very low price--you can easily get 5T of storage for under $100. These drives are great for backing up files and on most devices are more than fast enough to handle HD movies and games without any hiccups. The main problem with HDD drives is that they have moving parts that can eventually break or wear out because they use the same spinning magnetic spinning disc tech that has been around for 30 years since early home computers. The manufacturing process has improved over the years where these drives last long enough when installed inside PCs that they rarely wear out like they used to unless the drive is defective.

> 24 hourI didn’t know what to expect after reading reviews. Some good, some bad. I came across this by accident when I was looking for a new HDD. Had no idea such a thing existed. I started researching this and wondered if I could figure it out. I thought it might be difficult for whatever reason. I finally pulled the trigger and bought it and plugged it in. I was nervous. Turns out it was so easy! Sweating over nothing. Simple and straightforward! And fast. I can’t attest to the longevity but you bet I’ll be back here to update in time. I’m sold. No more spinning platters.
