18-04-2025Works perfectly for what I need it for. I Put a Velcro strip on it and it easily sticks to the laptop.

> 3 daySo far Ive had the drive for 1 work day, but it has been excellent. I got the drive for mainly school and work. My ThinkPad X1 has a 250GB SSD. I work in IT and Im currently finishing a certificate program to be a Certified Ethical Hacker. I need to run multiple VMs with various Linux distros to use certain software, and my internal SSD on my laptop is getting full. I got this drive mainly to run those VMs and so far (after 1 day) it is flawless. The read and write speeds are as advertised. I dont recommend using the Samsung software to encrypt the drive if you are on a pro version of windows and have a TPM. With Bitlocker I have the drive encrypted and with my TPM it will automatically unlock the drive when plugged into my laptop and logged in. The only other reason I could see using the Samsung encryption software is if you need to use the drive on multiple platforms at the same time.
