    I have many thousands of photos redundantly backed up on external hard drives. Theyre terrific but big and not realistically portable since they need to be plugged into the wall in addition to the computer. This little 1Tb SSD fits in my pocket and doesnt require external power. Its fast enough (1050MB/s) that I can easily do do complex edits straight from the drive. Very cool little device

    The 1,050 MB/s read and 1,000 MB/s write speed claim was too much for me to resist, although I doubted it would be realized in my experience. It was not. Because of the size, appearance and affordable (for me) reduced price, I will keep this beautiful little memory card, but am very displeased with its speed. I will just think of it as my fastest portable flash drive, with the greatest capacity. I have attached Samsungs own Magician test for this card, plus a test of two other drives, plus a subsequent T7 test using CrystalDiskMark8 set to NVMe. My custom-built PC is 3.1 Gen2 from the operating system drive all the way to the motherboard port used for this last test, so I am somewhat humiliated by the fantastic results some reviewers have seen, but practically there is no problem for me. What amazes me is that the newer Seagate 3.5 HDDs run at nearly 200 MB/s on 3.1 Gen2. I used to think that was not theoretically possible. Good times!
