After two months of light use as a backup drive, this thing will no longer mount, cannot be reformatted or repartitioned, and is therefore a very small brick.

Very satisfied with drive. Speed is important when loading huge sampled sounds and this product delivers. Just hope it doesnt wear out after a few years of use.

Friend has a 2015 iMac that was becoming painfully slow because of the internal mechanical HDD, opposed to replacing the internal drive with an SSD and risk damaging the computer, we opted to try using an external SSD as a boot drive. I was skeptical as I wouldnt think any form of external drive would be fast enough for a boot drive, but this thing feels just like a proper internal SSD when being used as a boot drive. Was able to install macOS on it just fine and everything has worked flawlessly and the machine feels like a brand new one.

Great for storing games on.
