I truly dont know what to think about this. A colleague said the T5s were great, and he was anxious to try a T7. With so many 5-star reviews, I thought this would be a homerun. I received the drive and was amazed at how small it was. Plugged it in and started copying files. Noticed slow transfer. But since it was coming from a non SSD external, I figured it had to do with that. Once I had the files on the SSD drive, it was terribly unresponsive. Browsing through pictures with xnview took about 10-15 seconds between pictures. I submitted for a return and replace, figuring the drive was just defective. Got a new drive and installed. HORRIBLE connection yet again (using USB-C). I enabled write cache and its still absurdly slow. And right now, as we speak, I am transferring my data back off to return for a refund, it is transferring from 300kb/s to 8mb/s max. It would be faster to chisel my data on stone. Perhaps its just a compatibility issue with this specific machine (a brand new machine), but it seems to be happening to quite a few people. My fault for not checking the critical reviews, first.

This thing is awesome, Our PS4 slim runs noticably better and this little thing holds so much stuff! It doesnt hold save data but who cares?! It holds the whole damn game that you download, examples are Skyrim, Fallout, Nioh 2. Very demanding games for a console that is a slim and not a pro but this thing saved us, no need to get a second console like we contemplated! I recommend this for sure, if you are a famer but cant afford super expensive console upgrades or items to extend space this is the one!

This is a fantastic little portable SSD. I have been using several of these to back up my thousands and thousands of photographs. Had a regular hard drive that I was using for archiving fail, so I went this route.

Great external drive. Replaced a lot of “thumb drives” (USB). Incredible transfer speed. I had transferred hundreds of videos from one USB drive to another and it took overnight. When I transferred the same videos onto this drive, it took 3 minutes! It holds a terabyte of data, is very thin and small, and is the greatest device to back up your entire computer and more!
