I received this drive on March 1 and it stopped working today (April 12). I cant find a way to replace this piece of junk that cost more than $200.

Maybe I just ended up with a lemon, but I still cant get this external harddrive to work. So far, Ive spent two hours trying to install the drive on my Mac (which is less than a year old and running the latest Big Sur OS). And then I spent another 30 minutes on the phone with customer support, and the agent said he couldnt help me but I could call Samsung if I wanted... So Im stuck with a $300 paper weight for now, and am back to searching for a different external harddrive to replace this one.

I ordered 3 colors, shipping was super fast (to Philippines), kudos to the logistic team. Its very compact, light and fast. Just keep in mind transfer speed depends heavily on your source/destination disk, that means if you copy from or to a Hard-disk which has a max of 200 MB/s then you cant expect this SSD is faster then 200 MB/s. If you copy from SSD to SSD the bigger impact is the USB version (2.0/3.0/3.1/3.2) so if you use USB 2.0 you prob max out at 60MB/s or less even both sides are SSDs. I only scratch the surface of this topic just to give you a quick idea.

This SSD is a nice little drive, delivers fast speed and it easy to transport. It is about the size of a cell phone battery very tiny. The only complaint that I have is that the drive gets hot fast when transferring around 60GB or so of data. I see no reason this drive should get so hot, large flash drives do get hot so why does this thing? Other than that one issue it is a all around good drive for the price.

I had two of these drives before buying a third. Ive been using them to run Linux from these external drives on systems which I dont directly have control of internal drives. They are fast enough that I barely notice that Im running from an external drive.

Met all of my expectations for storage and simply connected to my computer.

Im on win10 system, Im just using the USB3.0 to transfer files and its fast.
