Fast and no hassel. Just what I needed.

Ive tried far too many external drives and most were crap and were returned. This was totally different - has high storage capacity, tiny size, ultra fast transfer speeds - just what Ive wanted for years

This SSD is a phenomenal item to anyone who needs a bit more storage for their rig, be it a laptop or a desktop. That terabyte comes a long way especially if you do anything like an art project, and a solid amount for those who like to play decent file-sized games. The size of the SSD fits on your hand with a nice feel and comes with two kinds of Type-C cables to connect to your rig or Android/iPhone (but no case, so youll have to buy one yourself). And it also has an installation program to safely transfer files to said items and even place a password to keep your files safe. Only downside is if you are heavily invested in large files for content creation or games, you may need to get one with more capacity. Otherwise, this is a wonderful product that while I wish it was a tad bit cheaper, was definitely worth the purchase.

Lighting fast on game startup and loading screens on xbox one s. I beat my friends that are on xbox one x.

Easiest installation: Use one of the cables to connect, in our case to a laptop. We have Windows 10 automated backup., so once the backup system has identified the unit, its all automatic. Have not used Tech Support, but instructions are perfect.

I have an iMac that came with a 1 TB spinning hard drive. I used Carbon Copy Cloner to copy my hard drive onto the Samsung T5 Portable 1 TB SSD. I made this my startup disk. WOW! The difference in speed is incredible. I couldnt be happier. An added bonus is that when I eventually get a new computer, Ill have everything on this Samsung T5. The unit is the size of a credit card. It is truly amazing!

Device draws too much current at up to 5v 800ma. It is NOT backward compatible with USB2 ports power spec limit of 500ma. While USB2 speeds are slower but still work ,the increased power requirements limits its portability and compatibility with many devices. Returned device for Refund.

Easy to install and use. Perfect storage size for my needs.
