> 3 daySo much faster than USB sticks and much smaller than the 2.5 drives with SATA adapters I was using.

20-11-2024Grab a couple of these for your new M1 Mac and go to work! Don’t risk it with the T7, as they have some overheating and questionable performance “boosts” that can shorten the lifespan of the drive and do not much outperform this awesome T5, especially for the price difference! Save some money and get this little beast!

> 3 dayLoved the way Samsung packaged and shipped the drive. Includes USB - C and USB 3.1 to C cables. The drive is very fast and size is perfect for the sleeves in my Laptop bag. Purchased the 1 TB size. Perfect size for my needs.

> 3 dayInitially I was unwilling to compromise storage for ease of use but now that 2TB options are available it isnt a question. Light and portable enough to travel with my MacBook and fast enough to edit 42 megapixel raw photos and 4k footage as quickly as if its on your hard drive.

Greater than one weekI havent had a problem with it, the price is OK, and based on the reputation of Samsung Magician software for prolonging reliability, all in all 4 stars. But I wish Id bought a T7 instead of a T5. The T5 is less costly but has slower read/write speeds than T7. The T5 is also smaller and lighter than T7, but not by much.
