I really want to like this SSD... it feels very nice when you hold it, the appearance and size is perfect for a portable SSD. However it crushed constantly while writing...it crushed itself and it also crushed the laptop. I brought it twice from Bestbuy and from Amazon. They both act the same way, and end up returning both. Maybe it’s my Alienware laptop, or the SSD itself I’m not sure. The Samsung SSD I brought later works fine tho. Just a head up to Alienware users... it might not work for you.

This SanDisk is high quality, They put rubber around the casing from getting dinged,chipped and bumped. I have it attached to my Alienware laptop and I forgot it was there for a long while. I booted it up and it worksfine as pie. Steam games works flawlessly not one frame hick up and boots fast. I have to say this is the greatest thing since sliced bread

I bought two of these last year before they jacked up the price, one 500GB for $90 and one 1TB for $180. Both ended up failing after a year. The 1TB somewhat works but only works when plugged into a phone and isnt recognized when plugged into a PC, the 500GB wont be recognized by anything. Being that I have two of the cables that came with these, and a number of USB-C cables laying around, I can confirm its not a problem with the cables. But to top it off, the 500GB version needed the REVERSIBLE USB-C CABLE to be in a certain orientation in order for it to work, on both the device and drive end. Why? No idea. Overall disappointed that they both failed, considering how much they were. They were awesome when they worked, I could carry them around in my pocket and transfer files to almost anyone. instantly.

I bought this on Prime Days to see if it would run Parallels image off my Macbook. Yup, no problem. And its fast!
