Didn’t work on my ps4 ...not sure why but probably got a defective one

Worked out well! My son set it up for his PS5 and loves the performance and added storage.

It’s and amazing hard drive, but when I went to check on the storage in my ps4 it said it had 1.83 TB not 2TB, idk about hard drives so maybe the extra storage is used to operate and use it. Anyway it’s amazing

I used gateway storage before. The 2 TB version, this 4TB storage is better. Have a lot of PS4 games downloaded and connected to PS5 with no issues. I bought 2 of these. High-quality. I bought it on sale, so its worth it.

Have been using for little over a year now for our PlayStation 3 pro as extra storage for digital games. Has worked great. Was easy to install. Opened box plugged into the USB port of the PS4 with the provided cable. Went under settings to storage and clicked to format to the PS4 then under settings and clicked on use external storage so now our games automatically download to the external memory instead of using the PS4 memory storage. We always had to delete digital games then redownload when wanting to play the games that take up so much memory (fortnite takes up ALOT of memory with their constant updates). We have a lot of power surges where we live and this always fixes itself when the power clicks off. Hasn’t caused any issues with this memory device with all our power surges. Has worked great. Buying a second now for my sons PS4. Would recommend.

Ive had it at least two years, and it routinely tells me it was not disconnected properly and will need to be repaired; itll do it over and over again until one day it says it needs to be reformatted because it cant ne repaired. I have tons of games that I have to routinely reinstall. Without even touching it and shutting PS4 down properly, it will one day tell you that you that didnt properly disconnect the HD from the system, even though you never did. Imagine having to reinstall over 60 or more games over and over and over and over and over and over again, plus any updates said games may have. To hell with this thing.
