Obviously there are larger storage options. While I can say that this is a great option for portability, for some reason it ejects from my pc constantly. I don’t have this issue with any of my other hard drives or equipment. However, it could just be the one that I have.

A very convenient device for extremely large amounts of digital storage space. I am in fact satisfied with this product. It does what I need it to do abundantly!

Ive had good results with Seagate drives before and this seems to be just as reliable. It may be of interest to some people that it is a third the size of my other 5TB drives... My new iMac has no problems with it; I dont use some of the supplemental software that came with the drive. The device works with the USB 3.0 hub I bought recently, which is a real plus as some of my other drives wont. It is as fast as Id hoped, moving large files quickly; I make archival-quality photo scans of 50MB and it effortlessly moves folders crammed with images. Based on results at this point, Id say it is exactly what I was looking for.

This is my 4th Seagate. I’ve only one issue with them before as far as losing files. This time it is a different issue. I noticed after awhile that my Mac book would say it was disconnected without ejecting first. Each time I checked, it was still plugged in and I could see it was connected on my Mac book. Then I it started happening more and more. Now I can barely get it to connect at all. Sometimes the cord entirely slips outside of the port. I have tried several cords and it is all the same. So I assume the port is too loose. It is only 2 months old at this point. I’ll be asking for a replacement.

This is the second Seagate external hard drive I have purchased. Loved the first one (which I still use) I just needed additional storage. I am happy to say that Seagate does not disappoint. I love its portability and ease of use.

Got a good deal on this, 5TB of storage. Hooked up to my Xbox and have had no issues. Will update review if there are any changes.

Yet another winner from Seagate (at least in initial use). Everything worked. USB 3 files transfers were speedy. Note drives were formated exFAT. I use for system backup & offsite storage & the 5TB drive fits better than the 4, which I also have. Did not use the added software so no opnion on it.

So, I bought this in 2019, not realizing why I really needed it. My intentions were to transfer EVERYthing over to it and set it aside as a ‘future’ project...until Dec 2020 when I was able to get an XBox Series X...I currently use the drive as storage for all those Game Pass Games without taking up space on the console itself. Wise investment and value for this hard drive.
