Great mic for the money. I pair it with an sm57 on a guitar amp. Also does a decent enough job tracking acoustic and vocals to get something done quick while the inspiration is there.

I love these. I have 6 of them. Not only great for guitar amps, I also use these to mic saxes and trumpets. Also great to reproduce jazz drummers boingy toms without wanting to stab yourself in the ear.

This thing is just a DREAM for micing guitar amps, especially problematic cabs. My main amp (Peavey Delta Blues) uses a 15 speaker. Trying to mic it with an SM-57 or similar is always a compromise of what kind of coloration Im willing to accept. Hours of recording time and fiddling with placement did eventually allow me to discover a sweet spot. But even then, trying to place such a tiny capsule on a speaker larger than 10 never gets me close to the natural sound of the amp. Something is always hyped or missing. Its always a hunt for the least bad placement. If youre reading this, youre probably familiar with what Im describing.

Great instrument mic. for guitar, banjo, dobro or mandolin. good feedback rejection and good at isolating the instrument. Only drawback it mic. clip does not hold the mic well and I had to improvise to keep the mic. stable on the mic. stand. A replacement clip solves this issue.

Good mic... do not buy to use as an overhead for drums. If used for drums needs to be close on each drum.
