> 3 dayI previously owned, for 12 years, a Shark Rocket Deluxe Pro corded stick vacuum, and I will not go back to a canister vacuum which I purchased numerous times. Its lightweight, suction is great, and it fits under the bed and most furniture. If you empty the dust cup once a month or sooner, if needed, and clean the filters at the same time, the vacuum will sevice you for many years. Mine probably would have lasted longer if I had remembered to change, or wash the filters when I emptied the dust cup this last time.

Greater than one weekI have a big Rainbow vacuum that I use to clean the entire house. I love the Rainbow because it uses water as a filtering medium, so suction remains strong no matter how dirty the filter gets and it effectively gets a new filter every time its used. Its only downside is that its large and bulky, so if I have to vacuum a small section (like, a carpet runner in a hallway) its a bit of an ordeal to take out and set up. My basement has been converted to a space for my teenage daughter. Most of it is bare concrete (epoxy coated) but theres some carpeting here and there. Further, my daughters pet rabbit makes its home in the basement so theres a fair amount of rabbit fur and debris (hay, bits of chewed cardboard, etc) around its area. My daughter has been okay with keeping the floors clean but since the Rainbow is big and bulky it wasnt as good as it should have been. So I went shopping for a small yet effective vacuum to handle this job and this Shark is where I landed. Truthfully I wasnt expecting very much, but after the first use I was shocked by how good it actually is. I wouldnt use it to clean the floors of the whole house (I cant see its nearly-all-plastic construction lasting as long as my 35+ year old Rainbow) but I would absolutely use this for a small apartment. Or, of course, our basement. Assembly was insanely easy. I didnt have to refer to the owners manual for anything, although after I used it I did check it out just to see if I was missing any features (I wasnt). The pieces simply slide and lock into place very securely, and are easy enough to disconnect/disassemble as needed. There are several well-marked, large release latches for this. I particularly liked how the power switch works. For hardwood (or concrete) floors, moving the switch to the first position enables the sweeper on the power head as well as suction, so youre not relying on JUST suction to pick up dirt. For carpeted floors, moving the switch forward enables the beater bar to really get into the carpet fibers. My daughters pet rabbit roams an area of about 250 square feet, of which about half is carpeted and it hadnt been vacuumed in probably a month. After using this vacuum on it for the first time we filled the collection bin with bits of hay and rabbit fur and the carpet looked every bit as clean as when I use the Rainbow on it. The LED lights on the vacuum head is a nice touch, allowing you to more easily see dirt and debris on the floor (just look for the long shadows). Removing the power head doesnt make you blind, however, as theres a second LED on the vacuum motor that lights the area youre working on. The vacuum head isnt very tall at all, and the hose bends down enough to allow absolutely flat operation. Using this I was able to get under low-lying furniture like my daughters desk and the nearby shelf units. Suction power is also very good, and consistent throughout its run. I expected the vacuum to be more like the handheld Dustbuster-type vacs we have in the house where power diminishes very quickly as the filter clogs up, but no. Power stayed consistent and strong even with a pretty sold mass of rabbit fur and straw filling the collection bin. Three things I dont like about it, but are minor things overall. First, it comes with a storage hook cast into the casing which is nice, but the matching hook for the wall is an extra-cost item. Its available on Amazon for an additional $24 or you can get an identical third-party unit for less than half. For a nearly-$200 vacuum cleaner, its inexcusable for Shark to demand additional money for this piece. Second, its top-heavy. Now, this isnt a shock considering the nature of the unit and Im not exactly penalizing it for being what it is. But it does mean that when youre done using it for the moment (like, you want to unplug it, or you just need to move some furniture around) youre really going to want to just lay it down on the floor. More than once did I try to lean it against the wall only to have it slide down. If I wasnt paying attention it would have hit the floor hard (top-heavy, remember?) and probably damaged the plastics, which includes the collection bin. And third, the vacuum head doesnt have really good suction on the sides so cleaning the edges and corners of stairs isnt nearly as effective as cleaning the stair itself. Youll be removing the vacuum head to get into those nooks and crannies. Still, even with those issues Id buy it again.

> 3 dayI just recommended this vacuum for the umpteenth time (to our company owner, for our office and because hes interested in a new vacuum for his home). Since I love it so much, I guess I should take a couple minutes to review it. I am not a domestic diva by any means. So its a big deal that I love this machine. I decided against a cordless model since cordless always means a big heavy battery pack, and this has a long enough cord that it doesnt have to constantly be plugged and unplugged. Its not heavy but the suction is great. In fact, if you have lightweight area rugs, be careful because it can grab them pretty easily. The motor head has a light, which helps tremendously, and it swivels and lays flat making it easy to get around and under furniture and other obstacles. It also seems to vacuum my vinyl floor pretty well. Someone mentioned that its too loud but it doesnt seem any different than any other vacuum Ive used, so I guess the noise level depends on what youre comparing it to. When you dont need the motor head, you just step on a lever and it comes off, leaving you with a handheld vacuum that can reach the cobwebs in the corner of ceilings (depending on your ceiling height). If you want an even more compact vacuum for vacuuming stairs or your car interior, its easy to remove the stick portion. Ordinarily switching out a lot of parts makes it a cumbersome affair but its easy with this vacuum, and just as easy to click the parts back on. I bought this model earlier in 2022 but I see it has been upgraded since then, so the attachments store on the body. That addresses one of 2 issues I had with this. The other issue is that you cant leave it upright--I have to rest it against the molding of a doorway or a piece of furniture. It really hasnt been a problem but I thought it was worth mentioning. I do not have a pet so I cant comment on pet hair, but I shed a lot of hair myself and it seems to pick it up fine. It does have a bagless cup that I empty after each vacuuming session. Overall, I highly recommend this model and look forward to having one in our office to get all the paper scraps, etc. on my office carpet that the cleaning crew doesnt get to. Best vacuum Ive ever had and the only one I have ever loved (probably the only cleaning tool I have ever loved, in fact). No regrets at all. Thanks to Shark for a well-designed machine!

> 3 dayThis works perfectly for my needs. It has great suction, picking up crumbs, etc. from the kitchen tile floor to the crumbs under the dining room table to a general vacuuming of the living room carpet. It does a better job than the $600 Dyson its replacing which broke for the second time. Its light weight. Easy to carry up to the bedrooms. Its easy peasy to empty the dirt cup. I havent had to clean the filter yet, but Ive taken it out and put it back, and its easy. I really like that the cord starts near the handle. I never step on it. I do wish it stood up with the motor attached, but its easy to take off the motor from the top of the handle and snap it near the bottom. Ive used the word easy a lot because its all easy. I am very glad I bought it.

> 3 dayIt was time for a new vacuum, I liked the features of this one so I bought it about a month ago. Wow what a difference! It picks up SO much! I have a dog that sheds a lot and this vacuum makes cleaning up after her so much easier! This vacuum is excellent.
