> 24 hourReview for: Shark HZ602 Ultralight Pet Pro with PowerFins and Self-Cleaning Brushroll, Comet Red, 10.19 in L x 8.84 in W x 45.49 in H Shark has very nice quality stick, regular, and robotic vacuums. Ive been working through quite a few of them. The best feature of this vac honestly is the powerfins vs. the standard roller. I have two standard roller attachments for my $180 stick vacuum and I spend all the time pulling hair off it. This one has vastly improved defense vai the powerfins against that. Otherwise, the major flaw is that its corded. So youre not getting the benefits of having a cordless stick vacuum. The counter is that it offers more suction but the joy of a stick vacuum in my opinion is that is cordless. Additionally, the end is too thin widthwise yet too hard to fit under things like other stick vacuums, doesnt have bristles for some surfaces like carpet. So I wouldnt especially select this one but if youre ok with corded, go for it.

> 24 hourAbout a year ago I got my first ever kittens. Well, one of my kitties is longer haired and never did I expect she would shed like nobodys business. My house had to have been covered in cat hair I felt like I couldnt do anything about. This vacuum rocks! I probably sucked up about 2 lbs worth of cat hair no problem, I finally am rid of the tumbleweeds of cat fur floating around.

> 24 hourShark has switched to a different wheel that no longer pushes back when you set it up straight, stabilizing the base. With the new wheels, it no longer is stabilized and will not stand up on its own. You have to set it down or prop it up against something. Ridiculous. I returned mine within 30 minutes of opening it and putting it together and wish I had looked in detail at the low ratings. I dont care how well it does its job, the design is not good. When I returned it to a big chain that starts with K they had all the Shark models on display and I had hoped to find one that WOULD stand on its own as I have loved the Shark that I bought 3 years ago....but no. They were ALL propped up with bars so they would appear to be standing on their own. I ended up getting another brand, and because of the discount that the store taking returns gives, I got a great machine and saved a TON!

> 24 hourUp until this Shark HZ602 Ultralight Stick Vac, we have always owned a canister vac. Shark is my go to brand and we LOVE our high powered vacuum. It is several years old and hasnt lost any of its cleaning power. I was hoping for a similar experience with this vacuum. I do not have anything else to compare it to in the way of stick vacs. We never had the use for one as we always had carpeted flooring. We just recently had an entire floor of our home done in LVP flooring so I wanted a separate vacuum for that flooring. (so we can keep one vacuum on each level of our home) I really do like the look of the vac! Its sleek, stylish, and the Comet Red color is lovely. It isnt overly bulky, is easy to carry around, and doesnt take up much space. I am not thrilled with the fact that it doesnt stand up on its own. It has to be leaned up against a wall otherwise it topples over backwards. It would be nice if it came with some kind of docking station to help keep it upright when not in use. The cord is on the shorter side. This isnt a huge deal but I do have to relocate the plug to other outlets more often than I do with my other vacuum. The dust bin is VERY small. I may be spoiled by the large dust canister of our other Shark vacuum but for this reason, I would only use this for small jobs. There is no way I could clean the entire house, with aaallll of the pet hair, without having to dump the canister multiple times. I do love the hand held vacuum option. I have been using this a lot. Its lightweight and makes vacuuming our LVP stairs a cinch! The powerfins feature is quite interesting. I am ALWAYS cleaning and cutting hair out of our other vacuum with a bristle roller. Its a real PAIN! This eliminates that completely! The most important factor with ANY vacuum is the power and suction. This is where this product fell a little short for me. It is wonderful for using on a flat, even surface like LVP. It sucks up pet hair and other fuzzies with ease. However, I tried using it on an area rug and also our memory foam bath rugs. It just didnt do a great job. It seems to glide over the surface of the rugs, picking up any hair or fuzz that may be gently sitting on top, but it just doesnt get down deep enough to grab anything that has been walked on several times. This was a bit disappointing as our cats love sitting on those memory foam rugs for some reason. They get covered in pet hair easily and this vacuum just doesnt leave them squeaky clean like our other Shark. Overall, its still a good vacuum, but I would honestly stick to a canister vac as it seems to have more suction and better cleaning capabilities.

> 24 hourWhat I like most about this vacuum is also what I like least about it. It’s compact, lightweight and maneuverable. But the small size also means small canister. I have 5 cats, and live in a high dust area. When I was a kid growing up in the suburbs, my mom used to dust once a week, and it was barely necessary. I’ve lived most of my adult life in the city, and weekly dusting is necessary - there is always a fine layer of dust on the furniture. Which means there is also dust settling into the carpets. I have a full size Bissell canister vacuum, but I hate lugging it around. Doing a thorough vacuum with it means moving furniture around. It takes me an hour to do my living room and dining room, about 800 sq. ft. Because I hate vacuuming, I don’t do it nearly as often as I should, so I have to stop about 4 times to empty the canister. First time out with the Shark, I only got about 10 sq feet and had to empty the canister twice. So before attempting my whole apartment, I did a deep clean with the Bissell. I spent an hour and a half moving furniture and thoroughly cleaning. Now I use the Shark 2-3 times a week, and because it’s easier to move into small spaces, I don’t have to move the furniture, so I can be done in about 15-20 minutes. I like that the blades don’t cause tangles of hair and long fur. I should note that the furniture attachment does not have the blade system that the main vacuum does. It has bristles, so I did have to stop after using it to untangle fur. Two of my cats have long fur. I was initially irritated by the fact that the vacuum does not stay upright when fully assembled until I discovered the little hook on the front that you can hang the hand held portion onto which stabilizes the machine so it isn’t top heavy. Despite my initial misgivings about the size, I’m giving it 5 stars because once I got my groove, it works wonderfully!
