> 3 dayWhile in general the unit has adequate suction, it heats up so quickly within five or six minutes of use. And its LOUD. Super loud, where I almost consider putting in ear plugs to use this vacuum, which I have never wanted to do while vacuuming before. The one good thing is that the brush roll doesnt get clogged with hair and it is easy to move around. Weve had great luck with other Shark products, but this one has not been the best so far in the month or so we have owned.

21-11-2024We have two dogs and four cats in our home. We are constantly vacuuming. The other vacuum we had just wasnt holding up, so we actually got a Shop-Vac, because of all the hair that just wasnt doing a great job either. On a whim, I got this, and we have not been disappointed! We literally vacuum our entire 1700 SQ ft house every single day. Hardwood, tile, area rugs, and all! Easy to clean, I absolutely love the lights so we can actually see the work we are doing, and the difference we are making. The maneuverability is incredible, especially in hard to reach areas. I definitely recommend this, and would certainly purchase this again!

Greater than one weekI do not like this vacuum as well as the Shark Apex. It is not as easy to use, the cord is shorter, and suction is not as good. Disappointed

> 3 dayBest choice I could have made! Picks up so much dust and pet hair. Very light and easy to maneuver under low furniture. Love the non hair wrapping roller!

16-11-2024I have a couple of inexpensive cordless stick vacuums that are meant more as a quick, convenient way to tidy up between more thorough cleaning. I have a corded canister vacuum that I use for the thorough cleaning, but its not great for my rugs, so I decided to give the Shark HZ602 a shot to replace one or more of my other vacuums. PROS: - Very powerful - Easy to maneuver - Easy to empty dust bin - Wide cleaning path - Headlights makes debris easier to see - Brush roll reduces hair wrap - Long cord CONS: - Not HEPA filtered - Hard to carry when storing/disassembled I like the Shark HZ602 a lot. It performs very well and has no problems with picking up finer debris like dust and hair or larger ones like pet food. It also does very well on my rugs, which was key for me. The wide cleaning path also means less passes to clean my rugs and hard floors. The headlight is great so you can see the dust and debris before you pass over it and how it looks afterwards. The self-cleaning brush roll does reduce hair wrap by a significant amount, but not completely. Cleaning it much, much easier than regular brush rolls. And while cordless designs are super convenient, the long cord on the HZ602 does make it easier to clean a wide area without having to plug and unplug that often. I have only two complaints. The biggest one is that the HZ602 is not sealed with a HEPA filter, so its not as ideal for allergy sufferers. Fortunately, I have very good air purifiers in my home, so I just run those while I vacuum and it seems to work out OK. My other complaint is that when Im done using the vacuum, its awkward to carry. I understand that these stick vacuum designs with powerful motors at the top are always going to be top heavy, so they wont be able to defy gravity and stay upright on their own. Being able to hook the motor onto the lower part of the vacuum allows it to be stored more easily and I like that. But some type of handle or grippier section of the body wouldve made it more convenient to carry when putting it away or taking it out for use. Im satisfied enough with the Shark HZ602 that I plan to get rid of my two cordless stick vacs. The HZ602 is powerful enough that I wont have to pull out my Miele canister vacuum as often, so thats definitely a win for me.

> 3 dayhavent vacuumed my room for years because my sister didnt want me to break hers with my shedding hair. so i finally got one that claims to be able to suck up hair. Seemed too good to be true but Shark actually posted pictures of how their technology works with their fins that dont wrap hair. OMG it sucks up all the long hair. If hair gets wrapped, just keep using it. Eventually, the strands will get broken by the suction and pulled to the middle, and then sucked into the dust cup. It really is self-cleansing. A+++++

> 3 dayi was really surprised by how well this shark vacuum works. the only other experience Ive had with a stick vac was definitely not positive. i guess things have come along way since then. you can actually replace a cannister vacuum with this, something that shocked me. and the brushless design is a freaking miracle when you have pets or little girls whose hair is constantly ending up wrapped around the vacuum beater bar. Im thoroughly impressed with the fact that it also doubles as a handheld vacuum for cleaning out the snack crumbs from the aforementioned little girls. its also great for getting in those hard to reach crevices between the cushions on the couch. in fact the only issues i have are that the dust cannister is way too small and needs to be dumped frequently and the cord needs to be longer. but weighing these two tiny flaws against the outstanding features its a no brainer, buy this. its so light and easy to use that vacuuming is a breeze, now if only shark made a babysitter id be in heaven.

> 3 dayI bought this to use on my lower level floor which is luxury vinyl tile so I wouldnt have to lug my vacuum downstairs. It works well. Goes pretty far under the couch. Picks up the cat litter my cats track in from the basement. Its pretty easy to empty the cannister. The only cons, which I can live with, are that it doesnt stand alone, has to lean against something, and the detachable handheld part isnt that convenient to detach and use, I rarely use it. But overall I would recommend it if you are looking for a lightweight vacuum, much easier to use than a broom.

> 3 dayI’ve always been kind of skeptical of these stick vacuums as I’m accustomed to the more traditional type. I think the large one equals more power and better performance, but after using the Shark it made me a believer in the efficiency and ease of using one of these. When I first used it, I was very much impressed, a lot of suction in such a small form factor, and it was also easy to maneuver around. Although there was a lot of suction, I could easily turn it quickly and since pivots easily I can get it to go around areas more quickly and with less effort as it’s also lighter. Overall, it’s just a great vacuum to have. I do like the powerfin versus the traditional brushroller as it seems like it doesn’t get tangled with hair as easily. The attachments it comes with is the basics that I’m normally using anyway, so I’m not cluttering spaces with unneeded things. It does kind of fail when you’re doing a mass cleaning as the dust cup seems to be filled easily. I vacuumed my living room, kitchen and stairs and it was filled. I’m not sure if that’s good or not as I do try to keep things clean, or a testament to the suction it has. I think they key advantages this has over the traditional upright vacuum I was using before is suction, maneuverability, light weight, and the brushroller doesn’t get tangled with hair. The only drawback for me was the dust cup.
